Catenary Wires and Conductors used in Railway Electrification

Catenary wire (also called a messenger wire) has closely spaced drops which support the actual contact wire. The messenger (or catenary) wire needs to be both strong and have good conductivity. They used multi-strand wires (or cables) with 19 strands in each cable (or wire). Copper, aluminium, and/or steel were used for the strands. All the 19 strands could be of the same metal or some strands could be of steel for strength with the remaining strands of aluminium or copper for conductivity. Another type looked like it had all copper wires but inside each wire was a steel core for strength. The steel strands were galvanized but for better corrosion protection they could be coated with an anti-corrosion substance. The Catenary wire comprises 19 strands of cadmium copper, each strand of 2.10 mm dia, with overall dia of 10.5 mm having about 80% conductivity and 65 sq. mm cross-sectional area. The contact wire is a solid hard drawn grooved electrolytic. Copper of 12.24 mm dia and 107 sq. mm cross-sectional area. The total current carrying capacity of both wires is 600 Amps. The condemning size of contact wire is 8.25 mm. The wires and cable industry in India has come a long way, growing from being a small industry to a very large one, over the past decade. With the segment comprising nearly 40 per cent of the electrical industry in India, the increasing demand for power, light and communication has kept demand for wires and cables high. Growing at a CAGR of 15 per cent, boosted by momentum in the power and infrastructure segments. The present estimated per capita consumption is only about 0.5 kg. As GoI is focusing on ´Make in India´, the industry can grow at similar rate for the next five years. The India structured cabling market was valued at $419.4 million in 2017 and is forecasted to witness a CAGR of 12.9% during 2018–2023. Growing demand for copper cables, surging data center market, increasing number of product launch activities, and rising demand for better bandwidth are supporting the structured cabling market growth in India. Growing domestic market, priority for infrastructure development, improved life-style and newer opportunities, have propelled the Indian copper industry, specially for wires and cables. The growing trend in building, construction and automobile sectors is expected to keep demand of copper high. Understanding the copper technology involved in copper production, exploration, mining, and the uses of copper, as well as the global industry structure would impact copper mining, the environment, the various markets of copper, etc. The industry is affected by the price trends of copper, market performance, import/export scenario, the physical market trends, demand for copper, and of course, a market forecast. According to their Indian Electrical Equipment Industry Mission Plan 2012-2022, the government has planned to make India the country of choice for the production of electrical equipment and reach an output of $100 billion by balancing exports and imports. Requirement of electrical equipment is one of the most important inputs for the development of the power sector. Needles for Sewing and Embroidery Machine

A sewing needle, used for hand-sewing, is a long slender tool with a pointed tip at one end and a hole (or eye) at the other. The earliest needles were made of bone or wood; modern needles are manufactured from high carbon steel wire and are nickel- or 18K gold-plated for corrosion resistance. High quality embroidery needles are plated with two-thirds platinum and one-third titanium alloy. Traditionally, needles have been kept in needle books or needle cases which have become objects of adornment. Needles are offered in a wide range of sizes and the selection of needle size is based on the combination of fabric and sewing thread which is to be sewn. If the selected sewing needle is too small for the sewing thread size, the thread will not fit well into the long groove of the needle and will suffer from extreme abrasion. The use of too fine a needle while sewing heavy plies of fabric could lead to the deflection of the needle, which could influence the stitch loop pick up and cause slipped stitches or even needle breakage. Use of a larger sewing needle for the particular sewing thread resulted in poor control of the loop formation which could lead to slipped stitches. The primary reason to buy household sewing machines by end users is to enable saving on professional and labour fee on petty stitch works and also creation of custom embroidery, clothing articles. Also, growing preference for embroidery-based clothing and customization of fabric in recent commercial fashion design sector is also expected to impact the growth of household sewing machines market. The household sewing machines market in general is expected to sustain its notable presence and witness a healthy growth owing to perennial demand generating demographics consisting of female population in the globe. The global sewing machines market is projected to grow at the rate of 4.1% during the forecast period, 2018 to 2023. The large scale adoption of these automated sewing machines for most apparel and non-apparel manufacturing contributes to the growth of the sewing machine market. Supporting government policies in emerging policies, like China and India, influence textile manufacturers to adopt the latest technologies and expand their manufacturing sites, is expected to increase the demand for industrial sewing machines. However, strong presence of unorganized players and uncertainty in raw material costs are restraining the growth of sewing machines market. The future of the textile industry in India has a positive outlook and is mirrored by increasingly strong consumption rates in the domestic market as well as the growing demand for exports. Moreover, the industry has earned a unique place in the economy due to its strong future outlook, numerous employment opportunities it has generated and the strong export numbers it has generated. Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing region in the global sewing machines market. China, Japan, Australia, India, and Indonesia are the top contributing countries in the region. Many key players are entering into partnerships with the e-commerce retail stores in order to strengthen their distribution network which is likely to drive the market growth in the region. BLDC Fan

BLDC stands for Brushless DC motors. The BLDC motor is a synchronous motor powered by a DC electric source. It uses an integrated inverter power supply to produce an electrical signal to drive the motor. BLDC fan meaning is BLDC motor use in BLDC ceiling fan compare to induction motor in normal ceiling fan. With the use of BLDC motor in ceiling fan we can save 60% electricity in the ceiling fan. BLDC fan lifespan is more than a normal ceiling fan because there is no heat generated in BLDC Motor hence its increases lifespan of ceiling fan bearings, also there are fewer chances for the winding failure due to the use of high thickness copper wire in the winding. India is a tropical country making fans a necessity. Thus, the fan industry in India is well-established and has shown significant growth over the years. Profit realizations increased only 3.0-3.5% annually in the last 2 years due to a parallel rise in raw material prices. However, going forward, realizations for the sector are due to increase substantially as share of premium fans rise from current 6-8% levels to more than 15-20% over the next 3-5 years. Growth in the housing sector is boosting the demand for ceiling fans, especially in the developing economies. For instance, the governments of China and India are coming up with new schemes to provide shelter to the low- and middle-income groups. In addition to this, development in the commercial real estate, hospitality and retail sectors are bolstering the market growth. Fans are one of the electrical appliances which have become almost indispensable in Indian homes and even offices. Electric fan is a high market penetration product category and is very high in terms of purchase priority amongst durables. The market size of fan in value terms is quite large and it is the largest selling item in the brown goods category. Fan as a product category has no major regional disparities in sale. Much of the sale of organized sector is in the metro, tier I and tier II markets. National brands have built their brand image over a period of time through sustained advertising and a good dealer network. Aluminum Ingots from Aluminum Scrap

Aluminium is a chemical element. It is a silvery white, soft, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal, in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface. Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. Aluminium is remarkable for the metal's low density and for its ability to resist corrosion due to the phenomenon of passivation. Structural components made from aluminium and its alloys are vital to the aerospace industry and are important in other areas of transportation and structural materials. Rise in infrastructure development and automotive production are encouraging development in the metals and mining sector in India. India has vast mineral potential with mining leases granted for longer durations of 20 to 30 years. India produces 95 minerals– 4 fuel-related minerals, 10 metallic minerals, 23 non-metallic minerals, 3 atomic minerals and 55 minor minerals (including building and other minerals). Domestic consumption of aluminium is expected to reach 10 million tons by fiscal year 2031-2032. To meet this future demand, India needs to increase bauxite production from 23 million tons in fiscal year 2019 to approximately 70 million tons by that time. Alumina production would have to rise from 7.4 million tons to 20 million tons. India is No. 2 in the world in aluminium capacity. The country has primary aluminium capacity of 4.1 million tons per year and downstream processing capacity of 3.9 million tons. Recently, the aluminium industry had made huge investments to increase domestic production capacity from 2 million tons per year to 4.1 million tons per year. Roller Bearing

Bearing, in machine construction, a connector (usually a support) that permits the connected members to rotate or to move in a straight line relative to one another. Often one of the members is fixed, and the bearing acts as a support for the moving member. Most bearings support rotating shafts against either transverse (radial) or thrust (axial) loads. To minimize friction, the contacting surfaces in a bearing may be partially or completely separated by a film of liquid (usually oil) or gas; these are sliding bearings, and the part of the shaft that turns in the bearing is the journal. The surfaces in a bearing may be separated also by rollers or rollers; these are known as rolling bearings. In the illustration, the inner race turns with the shaft. Under certain combinations of load, speed, fluid viscosity, and bearing geometry, a fluid film forms and separates the contacting surfaces in a sliding bearing; this is known as a hydrodynamic film. An oil film can also be developed with a separate pumping unit that supplies pressurized oil to the bearing; this is known as a hydrostatic film. Roller bearings are used to replace sliding movement with low friction, rolling motion in rotary applications. The principal types of roller bearings are cylindrical, spherical, and tapered. In general, roller bearings offer higher load capacities than ball bearings of the same size. Roller bearings are used for heavy-duty moderate-speed applications. Potential applications for spherical and cylindrical roller bearings include power generation, oil field, mining and aggregate processing, wind turbines, gear drives, rolling mills. Single-row tapered roller bearings are used in such applications as machine tool spindles, gear reduction units, automotive transaxles, transmissions, vehicle front wheels, differential and pinion configurations, conveyor rolls, machine tool spindles, and trailer wheels. Bearings Market size was USD 48.1 billion in 2019 and will witness 8.2% CAGR from 2020 to 2026. Ever increasing vehicle sales and growing adoption of electric and connected vehicles will primarily drive the bearings demand for their production and related accessories. A passenger vehicle on an average uses minimum 35 bearings that vary largely on the basis of vehicle model and wide spreading technologies. Further, introduction of advanced high capacity wheel bearings coupled with improved lubricating performance will fuel the market expansion. Growing demand for specialized bearing solutions to meet industry-specific requirements, such as gas meters, flight support systems, and medical imaging equipment will induce a significant growth potential. Several manufacturers in the industry are focusing on digitalization and connectivity for better interaction with customers and automation across the value chain. Digitalization allows product development and improves workflow efficiency through digital manufacturing machineries and automation, contributing to automated and flexible manufacturing processes. Thus, due to demand it is best to invest in this project.

GI Metal Sheet Products • Octagonal • Square • Rectangle Poles

Utility poles are commonly used to carry two types of electric power lines: distribution lines (or "feeders") and sub transmission lines. Distribution lines carry power from local substations to customers. They generally carry voltages from 4.6 to 33 kilovolts (kV) for distances up to 30 miles, and include transformers to step the voltage down from the primary voltage to the lower secondary voltage used by the customer. A service drop carries this lower voltage to the customer's premises. Global electricity transmission poles market was valued at US$6.386 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.83% over the forecast period to reach a total market size of US$9.495 billion in 2025. Electricity poles, also called power poles, support wires and electric cables that carry electricity from power companies to end users. Materials that are used in the production of electricity transmission poles include wood, steel, and composite. The choice of material depends on its use which determines the life span of the electricity transmission pole. Electricity transmission poles are used to support and carry electrical lines, distribution lines, and sub-transmission lines. Rising number of factories across various industries is also a factor that is contributing to the growth of global electricity transmission poles market. Growing urban infrastructural development in developing economies has boosted the construction of residential as well as commercial buildings which is also driving the demand for electricity transmission poles, thus positively impacting the growth of the global electricity transmission poles market. Demand for energy has been increasing rapidly across globe. Rise in urbanization and demand for electricity to suffice growing population has increased significantly. Business Ideas for Manufacturing of Steel Shipping Containers (Cargo Container). Profit-Making Production Business of Metal Marine Containers for Entrepreneur and Startup.

An intermodal container, also known as a shipping container, is a big standardised shipping container designed and built for intermodal freight transit, which means it may be used across multiple modes of transportation without having to unload and reload its goods. In the global containerized intermodal freight transport system, intermodal containers are largely utilised to store and carry commodities and products efficiently and safely, but lesser quantities are also employed in localised applications. Simply container, cargo or freight container, ISO container, shipping, sea or ocean container, sea van or (Conex) box, container van, sea can or c can are all names for these containers. The following are just a few of the numerous advantages of steel shipping containers: 1. Corrugated Steel: Corrugated steel can bear varied weight loads in terms of resistance and impact. Steel containers may be stacked on top of one another without buckling under extreme strain because of this. 2. Long-Lasting Durability: The steel shipping container is quite durable in general. These containers, which are made of one of the strongest metals in the building industry, can withstand practically any weight and impact load. 3. Dent and Warp Resistant: Because the steel walls are corrugated, a shipping container can endure a beating from a variety of factors and items. 4. Completely Low-Maintenance: Due to the nature of corrugated steel and its resistance to the elements, steel shipping containers require very little maintenance. 5. Marine-Grade Plywood Flooring: With either marine-grade plywood or bamboo flooring, the inside of a steel container is just as striking. In most cases, this flooring contains trace levels of pesticide. The most significant component of the entire shipping, trade, and transportation industries is container units. These shipping containers are structures that house a variety of items that must be carried from one area to another through container ships of various types. 1. Dry Storage Container: A dry storage container is the most often used shipping container, and it comes in a variety of ISO-standardized dimensions. They are used to convey dry products and available in sizes of 20ft, 40ft, and 10ft. 2. Flat Rack Container: A flat rack container is a simple storage shipping container with foldable sides that can be folded to create a flat rack for shipping a variety of items. 3. Open Top Container: Materials of any height can be transported simply with a convertible top that can be removed completely to produce an open-top. 4. Tunnel Container: Tank storage containers with doors on both ends are ideal for efficiently loading and unloading items. 5. Open Side Storage Container: These storage units include doors that can be converted to fully open sides, giving you even more room to load your materials. 6. Double Doors Container: A sort of storage unit with two doors that allows for extra area for material loading and unloading. Steel, iron, and other 7. construction materials come in standard 20ft and 40ft lengths. 8. Refrigerated ISO Containers: These are temperature-controlled shipping containers that are kept at a low temperature at all times. They are exclusively used to transport perishable items across vast distances, such as fruits and vegetables. 9. Insulated or Thermal Containers: These are shipping storage containers that have a temperature control system and can maintain a steady temperature. The materials are chosen in such a way that they can withstand prolonged exposure to high temperatures for an extended period of time. They're ideal for transporting products over vast distances. 10. Cargo Storage Roll Container: A foldable container is one of the specialised container units designed for transporting sets or stacks of materials. They're comprised of strong, durable wire mesh and have rollers for simple moving. The availability of a range of coloured wire meshes adds a splash of colour to these shipping container modules. As part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat programme, which intends to improve India's exports, the government is looking into mass-producing containers while also creating a shipping line. Shipping products necessitates the use of containers. India is currently fully reliant on the government-owned Shipping Corporation of India. Until date, the majority of exporters have relied solely on Chinese containers. However, as geopolitical outlines shift, exporters have been impacted by a lack of containers, as well as an increase in freight costs. In response to escalating political tensions, India has cut its imports from China. The global container shipping industry is expected to reach US$10.93 billion in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.49 percent from 2021 to 2025. Market expansion will be fueled by factors such as a growing population, accelerated economic growth, rising demand for shipping containers, increased steel output, and rapid urbanization. However, rising worries about CO2 emissions, expensive shipping costs, and environmental laws are expected to stymie industry expansion. The shipping containers industry is made up of companies (organizations, single traders, and partnerships) that manufacture shipping containers that are strong enough to survive handling. From common cardboard boxes to huge steel boxes used for intermodal shipments, shipping containers come in many shapes and sizes. Included are only commodities and services that are transferred between businesses or sold to end users. The rise of the shipping container sector was aided by an increase in demand for freight transportation via ships. The demand for freight transportation via waterways is increasing due to considerations such as cost-effectiveness and security when compared to other modes of transportation. The shipping container market's expansion is projected to be stifled by the high prices connected with them. Few Major Indian Key Players: • DCM Hyundai Ltd. • J.K. Technologies Pvt. Printed wiring boards (PWBs) are critical components that include a foundation board that supports all other parts and circuitry, as well as a patterned layer of electrical tracks printed on top. The four major components of a printed circuit board (PCB) are: • Substrate (optional): The substrate, which is usually constructed of fibreglass, is the first and most crucial phase. Fiberglass is employed in the PCB's core because it strengthens it and helps it withstand fracture. Consider the substrate to be the "skeleton" of the PCB. • Copper Layer: This layer can be copper foil or a full-on copper covering, depending on the board type. Regardless of which method is utilised, the copper's function is the same: it transmits electrical signals from the PCB to the brain and muscles, just like your nervous system. • Solder Mask: The solder mask, a polymer layer that protects the copper from short-circuiting when it comes into contact with the environment, is the third component of the PCB. The solder mask serves as the PCB's "skin" in this situation. • Silkscreen: The silkscreen is the final component on the circuit board. Part numbers, logos, symbols, switch settings, component reference, and test locations are commonly silkscreened on the component side of the board. The silkscreen is also referred to as Television sets, transistor sets, radios, amplifiers, ampligrams, stereo amplifiers, voltage stabilisers, calculators, communications equipment, power supply, public address equipment, computers, and defence and other research organisations all employ printed circuit boards. On today's PCBs, component connection leads are commonly in the shape of a little foot. As a result, they can be immediately soldered to the copper tracks and placed on the same side. This not only saves money by avoiding costly drilling and track hookups through the board, but it also allows for the use of surface mounting devices (SMDS), which are often smaller and potentially less expensive than their traditional counterparts and allow for significantly higher component packing density. Capacitors and resistors are the most common components found in SMD form. These are little rectangular blocks with metal caps on the ends that connect all of the interior electrodes. There are no cables connecting the components. PCBs can be found in practically every electronic product, from consumer electronics like PCs, tablets, cellphones, and gaming consoles to industrial and even high-tech items in the strategic and medical electronics industries. Given the importance of the PCB business in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem, an article titled 'How will the Indian PCB industry grow?' was published in the April 2016 issue of Electronics Bazaar, and included the perspectives of key industry stakeholders. The Indian market is unique in compared to the rest of the world. Because flexible circuits may reduce form factor and eliminate connectors, they are predicted to grow far faster in the worldwide market than rigid PCBs. Most Indian PCB producers, on the other hand, concentrate on single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layered PCBs with four to eight layers. The Indian electronics industry is one of the world's fastest expanding, with domestic manufacturing exceeding $100 billion and expected to reach $400 billion by 2022. As a result, the PCB industry will see significant growth. According to an ELCINA analysis, PCB consumption in the residential market is predicted to expand at a CAGR of 20.56 percent from 2015 to 2020, reaching over US$ 6 billion by 2020, up from US$ 2.38 billion currently.
