Disposable plastic syringes are a great innovation in the field of medical equipment. Disposable needle is widely used by doctors for injection purpose with the help of syringes. A disposable plastic syringe is one of the fastest ways to administer life saving drugs and vaccinations to a patient. The major advantage of using disposable syringes is that no infection is transmitted since the injection is disposed off immediately after use. With the increase in population in our country, requirement of medicine and injections have increased. For more strength of people more number of needles is required with syringes. Tablets or capsules also play a great role in the life of human beings but injections are also a must to some extent. The disposable syringes market has now self-destructing or auto-disable (AD) syringe as a safe bet against re-use and spread of HIV, hepatitis and other infections. The national immunization policy has adopted the non-reusable, self-breaking syringes, though many States are yet to follow suit for the curative injections. Disposable surgical caps and mask are used considerably while performing an operation or undergoing surgical measures. Catheters are used for the purpose of passing urine for bed-ridden and emergency patients in hospitals, nursing homes etc. With the development of pharmaceutical industries the use of syringes and disposable needles will also develop. About 70% pharmaceutical industries are in small-scale sector. Disposable syringes are becoming more popular in the medical world due to its lower cost and higher accuracy. Plastic can be used in place of metal without any problem. The procedure is also relatively easy and cheaper. New comer can well venture into this field. There is a good scope in this sector. DISPOSABLE PLASTIC SYRINGES - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

A plastic syringe is a cylindrical tool used for many purposes, from medicine to mechanics, to arts, crafts and refilling inkjet printer cartridges. With the increase in population in our country, requirement of medicine and injections have increased too many folds. A disposable syringe made of plastics, for medical purposes, consisting of a piston provided with a plunger shaft and a barrel provided at the bottom with a tapered chuck for the attachment of a cannula needle, in which the plunger shaft is guided in the barrel at a distance from the barrel wall, and the piston is releasable attached to the plunger shaft. These syringes typically come with measurements clearly marked (such as 1ml, 2ml, 5ml etc) to make sure the patient receives the proper dosage. The hypodermic needles are normally made from a stainless-steel tube through a process known as tube drawing where the tube is drawn through progressively smaller dies to make the needle. The end is bevelled to create a sharp pointed tip letting the needle easily penetrate the skin. The diameter of the needle is indicated by the needle gauge. Various needle lengths are available for any given gauge. Disposable needles are embedded in a plastic or aluminium hub that attaches to the syringe barrel by means of a press-fit or twist-on fitting. These are sometimes referred to as Luer Lock connectionsThe main machinery used for the production of disposable syringes are Injection moulding machine, injection moulds, assembling devices, foil welding machines to name a few. Plastics remain at the forefront of medical innovations. The Indian market is expanding in all directions as a result of better affordability, greater health consciousness and expanding medical service institutions. With a population of 1.15 billion, India will need to at least 2 million beds in the next 10 years in order to attain a modest target of 2 per 1000 of population. With a total healthcare value of USD 400 billion, the potential for Medicare equipment is, indeed large. The healthcare sector is one of the most challenging and fastest growing sectors in India. Revenues from the healthcare sector account for 5.2 per cent of the GDP, making it the third largest growth segment in India. According to McKinsey & Co. a leading industrial and management consulting organization, the Indian healthcare sector, including pharmaceutical, diagnostics and hospital services, is expected to more than double its revenues to Rs 2000 billion by 2010. Expenditure on healthcare services, including diagnostics, hospital occupancy and outpatient consulting, the largest component of this spend is expected to grow more than 125% to Rs 1560 billion by 2012 from Rs 690 billion now. Besides growing market in our own country there is great potential for the export to nearby countries. Apart from the electronic instruments and major equipment, substantial progress has been registered in the area of a number of medical accessories and consumables. These include disposables - syringes, blood bags, cannulae, IV fluid sets, gloves. In most of these items, while the demand is increasing fast, India is becoming increasingly self-sufficient. Fairly large quantities are also exported. The market for non-premium equipments, appliances and disposables is, however, dominated by the domestic manufacturers, while foreign suppliers and Indian companies with foreign alliances dominate the high-end hi-tech medical equipment and appliances. Among the leading providers of advanced products are Siemens, GE, Philips Medical Systems, Toshiba, Hitachi and Boston Scientific. There is a large untapped potential in this sector. Nonetheless, it is crystal clear that with the fast commercialization process of the sector and upgradation of medical facilities, the potential is sky high.

ELECTROLYTIC MANGANESE DIOXIDE - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

EMD is a complex composite of various crystals of manganese and oxygen that is produced through electro-winning. It is used primarily as the active constituent of alkaline batteries and increasingly as the feedstock for the cathodic material in lithium-ion batteries. The structure of EMD is highly disordered, but predominantly made up of the manganese dioxide crystal ramsdellite, depicted here, with the red balls signifying the oxygen atoms in the green manganese dioxide crystal lattice. Electrolytic manganese dioxide is a high purity product with molecular formula MnO2 that possesses the ‘recipe specific’ electrical characteristics desired by battery producers. Natural manganese dioxide (NMD) can be used in the Leclanche cells. But in alkaline, lithium and other batteries, synthetic managanese dioxide with higher purity is required. Electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) is used as a cathode mixture material for dry cell batteries, such as alkaline batteries, zinc-carbon batteries rechargeable alkaline batteries. Among the large variety of manganese dioxides, y-type managanese dioxide is extensively used, as y-variety compounds have high intercalation voltage. They have the ability to maintain high discharge rates, a good performance over a wide temperature range and have a long storage life. EMD is stable under normal temperature conditions. ELECTROLYTIC MAGNESIUM DIOXIDE NUCLEATION: Electrolytic manganese dioxide has been used worldwide in the manufacture of primary ZnMnO2 alkaline and Lechlanche type cells for decades. Their low cost and reliability impair their replacement by higher performance and secondary batteries. The performance of these batteries depends on the manufacture method of the manganese oxide due to the variation of the properties of the oxide with its crystallite size, density of lattice imperfections and extent of hydration. Sometimes the intercalation of lithium ions is carried out to improve performance characteristics of MnO2, for high energy density and high drain power application. Electrolytic manganese dioxide are doped with Bi, Pb and Ti ions is used for the manufacture of rechargeable alkaline manganese oxide cells. These ions are known to stabilize the MnO2 lattice towards dimensional changes that occur during charging and discharging cycles of the cells. The production of EMD is carried out through the electrolysis of hot MnSO4 and sulphuric acid solutions. Stainless steel or lead is the materials normally used as cathode, where hydrogen evolution takes place. Carbon, lead or titanium can be used as anode. Titanium anodes are preferred because the EMD is purer than that obtained with carbon and lead anodes. MARKET SCENARIO: As electric vehicles penetrate the auto market, EMD demand stands to benefit. The launch of electric cars and their expanding production is expected to increase demand for EMD for use in lithium-ion secondary batteries cathodes of the lithium manganese oxide and tertiary compound type. The highest potential growth segment for EMD is in large scale rechargeable batteries used in electric vehicles and electronics. At present, the rechargeable manganese battery segments account for less than 10% of total EMD demand. Alkaline batteries are a low growth end use, expected to track well below GDP growth rates over the forecast period. In small scale electronics, EMD use projected at historical growth rates of 4%. EMD is mostly used in alkaline and other small scale, consumer electronic batteries. World demand is estimated around 3,50,000 metric tonnes per annum in 2012 with growth rate in demand around 5%.

DISPOSABLE PLASTIC SYRINGES - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

A syringe is a simple piston pump consisting of a plunger that fits tightly in a tube. The plunger can be pulled and pushed along inside a cylindrical tube (the barrel), allowing the syringe to take in and expel a liquid or gas through an orifice at the open end of the tube. The open end of the syringe may be fitted with a hypodermic needle, a nozzle, or tubing to help direct the flow into and out of the barrel. The disposable plastic syringe has become an important part of the medical scene since its introduction in the late 1950's. Today more and more attention is being focused on the composition and configuration of this everyday item. It is an instrument which is used for injecting any liquid into the body of human beings or of animals. These syringes are used for injecting the medicine into the body or into the nerve of the body which are not possible to take in through mouth or takes much time in mixing with blood. Disposable Syringes made of plastic Material have been successfully used in medical and pharmaceutical practice for many years. The constantly increasing use of this type Syringe indicates its importance, which is based mainly on the advantages it offers regarding cost and hygienic applications. Plastic syringes are becoming more popular in the medical world due to its lower cost and higher accuracy. Uses & Applications Disposable syringes commonly are used in modern medicine for the injection of drugs and vaccines or for the extraction of blood. The often are used instead of reusable syringes in an effort to avoid spreading a disease. Among the common uses of disposable syringes are the injecting of insulin by a diabetic person and the administering of a local anesthesia by a dentist. A medical syringe that is used to give shots to more than one person without being properly sterilized is a potential source of disease. This can be an especially pressing concern in poor or undeveloped areas, where an injection often cannot be given under ideal medical conditions. Therefore, disposable syringes often are favored over reusable syringes for vaccines, in order to avoid the risk of transmitting blood borne diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis from one person to another. Needle exchange programs that provide intravenous drug users with disposable syringes and needles are based on the same idea, because reuse and sharing of infected needles by drug users is one of the principal ways HIV is transmitted in the developed world. Market Survey Needles and syringes are amongst the most extensively used medical disposables. Healthcare professionals represent the largest end use market for syringes, followed by diabetics. A substantial rise in the number of drug addicts has also contributed to the enhanced demand for syringes across the world. Rising life expectancies and growing proportion of the elderly have led to increased demand for healthcare services, and greater need for drugs to be injected. Additionally, a number of newly introduced drugs including DNA based drugs are not available in the form of pills and must be administered intravenously, thereby enhancing the demand for disposable syringes. Worldwide market for syringes is driven by an aging population and related rise in healthcare demand. The Present demand of Disposable syringes is being adequately met by indigenous production. In increasing awareness in health care, AIDs and like diseases and improvement in per capita income is expected to create further growth in demand of disposable syringe / needles. Since there is in need to add few more new units for manufacturing of Disposable Syringe. The growth in domestic demand may be conservatively expected to be 25% per annum, assuming constant export of 100 million syringes /year only. One additional unit every year with 25 million products shall be needed to increase in indigenous demand alone besides increase in export quantities is likely to be the further aggravate the demand. The Industry is exporting about 80 million syringes annually which is reasonably spread amongst various units. The measure importing country is Russia. (For sustained exports on durable basis, accreditation under ISO: 14000 or ISP 9000 is mandatory. E-Waste Recycling Plant - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

E waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their useful life. Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Unfortunately, electronic discards are one of the fastest growing segments of our nation's waste stream. WEEE has been identified as one of the fastest growing sources of waste in the EU, and is estimated to be increasing by 16 to 28 per cent every five years. Within each sector a complex set of heterogeneous secondary wastes is created. Electronic wastes, e waste, e scrap, or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is a description of surplus, obsolete, broken or discarded electrical or electronic devices. Technically, electronic waste is the component which is dumped or disposed or discarded rather than recycled, including residue from reuse and recycling operations. Because loads of surplus electronics are frequently commingled (good, recyclable, and non recyclable), several public policy advocates apply the term e waste broadly to all surplus electronics. Uses & Application Electronic Waste – or e waste – is the term used to describe old, end of life electronic appliances such as computers, laptops, TVs, DVD players, mobile phones, mp3 players etc. which have been disposed of by their original users. While there is no generally accepted definition of e waste, in most cases, e waste comprises of relatively expensive and essentially durable products used for data processing, telecommunications or entertainment in private households and businesses. Market Survey WEEE has been identified as one of the fastest growing sources of waste in the India, and is estimated to be increasing by 16 28 per cent every five years. Within each sector a complex set of heterogeneous secondary wastes is created. Although treatment requirements are complicated, the sources from any one sector possess many common characteristics. However, there exist huge variations in the nature of electronic wastes between sectors, and treatment regimes appropriate for one cannot be readily transferred to another.

The Indian domestic Medicare devices industry is expected to grow from Rs 60 bn to Rs 76.5 bn in four years. The overall market is estimated at Rs 150 bn. A major part of the demand is met through imports. Devices, such as catheters and stents represent nearly two fifth of the entire range of diagnostic devices and most critical as per international classification. The Government has decided to create separate quality guidelines for medical devices. Presently medical devices are treated like drugs and regulated by state drug regulators under the drug law Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Guidelines would make it mandatory for producers to get their products certified by notified bodies like ISO and BIS. Technological advances achieved by Medicare globally in the recent years have been phenomenal. The Indian scenario has not remained immune to these changes. While IT (information technology) has come to the aid of the breakthroughs, the progress recorded in the Medicare area is as impressive as it is in the IT sector itself. The changes are in concepts, forms and content, as well as applications. These are both, quantitative and qualitative. The transformation is pervasive and has penetrated almost all specialties, from diagnostics to physiotherapy, from cardiology to oncology, from non invasive surgery to transplants.
