•        Border measures such as subsidies, tariffs, quotas, and non-tariff measures to protect domestic producers from import competition, manage domestic price levels, and guarantee domestic supply.

The National Policy on Agriculture seeks to actualise the vast untapped growth potential of Indian agriculture, strengthen rural infrastructure to support faster agricultural development, promote value addition, accelerate the growth of agro business, create employment in rural areas, secure a fair standard of living for the farmers and agricultural workers and their families, discourage migration to urban areas and face the challenges arising out of economic liberalization and globalisation. Over the next two decades, it aims to attain:

•        A growth rate in excess of 4 per cent per annum in the agriculture sector;

•        Growth that is based on efficient use of resources and conserves our soil, water and bio-diversity;

•        Growth with equity, i.e., growth which is widespread across regions and farmers;

•        Growth that is demand driven and caters to domestic markets and maximises benefits from exports of agricultural products in the face of the challenges arising from economic liberalization and globalisation;

•        Growth that is sustainable technologically, environmentally and economically.

The policy seeks to promote technically sound, economically viable, environmentally non-degrading, and socially acceptable use of country’s natural resources - land, water and genetic endowment to promote sustainable development of agriculture.

Manufacturing Business of Latex Mattress (Talalay Process)

Latex mattresses are becoming more popular as a replacement for traditional spring or foam mattresses. A latex mattress is one made of the sap of the rubber tree, also known as "natural latex" or "Hevea milk." This material is then processed into either solid foam or a foam-air mixture. The resulting material is extremely durable and provides excellent body support. As with any type of mattress, there are advantages and disadvantages to using a latex mattress. Natural latex is classified into two types: Talalay and Dunlop. Talalay comes in a variety of firmness levels and is firmer and more bouncy than Dunlop types. The Talalay Method The Talalay process is a distinct method of producing latex mattresses that has grown in popularity in recent years due to the superior quality of the mattresses it produces. Vitaly Talalay invented the process in 1929, and it entails a multi-step process that begins with extracting the liquid latex from the rubber tree. After that, the liquid latex is poured into a mould and cured in a vacuum chamber before being frozen to stabilise the latex cell structure. After freezing, the latex is heated and flash-frozen again to create a more consistent product. Finally, the latex is washed and dried before quality control testing. The end result is an extremely comfortable mattress that is resilient, durable, and has an open cell structure that allows for better breathability. It also helps to reduce heat transfer, so the mattress remains cool even in hot weather. The Talalay process also helps keep dust mites and other allergens at bay, making it a popular choice for allergy sufferers. What Are the Advantages of Starting a Latex Mattress (Talalay Process) Business? The benefit of starting a latex mattress business is that you can make a lot of money because the product has a low overhead cost. Latex mattresses have lower labour and material costs than other types of mattresses, making them more affordable. This allows you to maximise your profit margins while also providing customers with competitive prices for the same quality product. Customers also appreciate the fact that latex mattresses are chemical-free and eco-friendly. Customers will appreciate the fact that you are offering them a product that helps them reduce their carbon footprint. The Talalay process also results in a softer mattress, which provides greater comfort and support. Latex mattresses are frequently perceived as luxurious, making them easier to market and sell. People who want to invest in luxury items will be interested in buying a latex mattress. You can easily attract potential customers and increase your sales by offering quality products at a reasonable price. Overall, starting a latex mattress business can be a great way to earn a good living without having to put too much money into it.
