Rubber & Plastic Industries, FRP Products, Polymers, PET, PVC, LDPE, HDPE, Polypropylene, Acrylic and Polyutherthane Projects

Rubber and plastics are two very different, important materials which are used a great deal in our everyday life, both in indoors and outdoors. The usage of the materials is increasing day by day and it has become an integral part in our surroundings. India, being the fourth largest producer of natural rubber in world, is considered to be one of the key players in the global rubber business. Rubber is a versatile product with multiple usages. It is grown in various countries worldwide and plays a crucial role in the Indian economy too. India is one of the leading rubber producers in the world.

The use of rubber is widespread, ranging from household to industrial products, entering the production stream at the intermediate stage or as final products. Tyre and tubes are the largest consumers of rubber. The remaining 44% is taken up by the general rubber goods sector, which includes all products, except tyres and tubes. Synthetic rubber is mainly used for the production of auto tyres and tubes, cycle tyres and tubes and footwear. Other applications for the synthetic variety are camel back, belts and hoses. The market segmentation includes Auto tyres and tubes   56%, Bicycle tyres and tubes    9%, Footwear    18%, Latex goods    8%, Belts and hoses    4%, Camelback   5%.

The rubber industry is expected to grow at over 8 per cent per annum this decade, as the per capita consumption of rubber is 0.8 kg against 14 kg in the developed world. There exists a huge scope for expansion causing import of machinery, technology and raw materials and export of rubber goods.

Plastics, the material of the new generation, have been catching up faster than was expected since the 1980s. With restrictions on the use of wood to conserve forests, its importance has grown phenomenally.  Because of its light weight, ease in maintenance and natural sparkle, it is substituting not only wood but also metal and glass. The automobile industry, the white and brown goods and the packaging industries, all offer expanding prospects.

Plastic polymers are classified into thermoplastics and thermosettings. Thermoplastics include elastomers (unvulcanised), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polyurethane (PU) and other resins. Thermosettings include elastomers (vulcanized), polyethylene (crosslinked), phenolics, alkyds, polyesters. The product variation includes PVC 21%, HDPE 25%, LDPE 5%, PS 5%, PP 33%, LLDPE 8% and ABS 3%.

Major Players in this sector includes Reliance 32%, IPCL 22%, DCM Sriram 4%, Finolex 5%, Chemplast 3%, DCW 3%, etc.

The industry has expanded along with expansion of diverse applications, such as packaging, extrusions, blow mouldings and industrial mouldings for automobiles, telecommunications, and white goods.  User segments are electrical appliances, domestic ware, leatherite, decorative laminates, fittings and fixtures, extrusions for construction industry, automobile components, machinery and equipment, water tanks, pipes and fittings, drink bottles, medical appliances, weather protection. The opportunities are also opening up with the expansion and sophistication of food processing, automobiles, entertainment electronics and appliances. Besides these, industry's contributions have been vital in areas of rural electrification, telecommunication, horticulture, medicare, apart from a perceptible change in living styles and standards.

Polymers have found uses in all spheres of life with demand for better materials, greater functional use, more economical packaging and versatile and durable all-weather products. The per capita consumption of polymers in India is around 5 kg. The average per capita global consumption of polymers is estimated to be about 17 kg. The plastic and polymer industry has been expanding at a rate of 11% a year. Presently the consumption/demand is estimated at around 5.5 million tonnes. The demand estimates for all polymers including engineering polymers is envisaged to increase from 1.8 million tonnes in 1995-96 to 7.5 million tonnes in 2006-07 and to 9.5 million tonnes in 2009-10. It is projected at close to 14 million tonnes in 2014-15.  India is one of the fastest growing polymer market in the world, and is expected to become the world's third largest polymers market, after the US and China, within a decade. The significant domestic demand growth is expected from the user industries such as telecom, food and beverages, packaging, transportation and consumer durables, and from continued substitution of traditional materials like wood, metal, glass.

Tyres for Truck, Lorry, Bus, Car & Cycle - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

The tyre industry is the largest part of the rubber manufacturing industry, infact it is so large that it is often classed as an industry in its own right. It absorbs well over two thirds of all natural rubber production and almost as large a proportion of synthetic rubber manufacture. In much of the innovation in the wider rubber industry both in terms of material and in terms of manufacturing emanates from the tyre industry. Light vehicle tyre and heavy truck and machinery tyre are both part of the tyre market but differ in their composition and manufacturing process. Hence light vehicle tyres are particularly passenger’s car tyre. Advances in tyre materials, tyre constructions and tyre manufacturing technology have led to new types of products and the development of new market segments. Tyre manufacturing technology has progressed in parallel with tyre construction technology so that tyres are now designed not only to meet specific performance targets, but also to enable improved 'manufacturability', i.e., more efficient, lower cost and more uniform production. The Indian tyre industry has come of age with the manufacture of almost all types of tyres. The industry has an estimated turnover of close to Rs 200 bn. It is made up of 40 players with an installed capacity of 57.3 mn tyres. The industry claims a perceptible export market. Like the commercial vehicles and tractor segments, the off take of cars and two-wheelers has been fairly steady. Production in most segments has increased by about 6%. There has been a steady flow of replacement market demand for two-wheeler and car tyres. This and the increase in production of motorcycle tyres have sustained the production of tyres in the two-wheeler segment. Latex is originally defined as the stable dispersion of natural rubber particles in aqueous medium as produced in the rubber tree. They are complex colloid systems containing polymer molecules as major fraction. The polymer may be a homo polymer or co-polymer .Stereo regularity and the complexity of the polymer molecules (linear / branched / cross linked) is maintained in the latex form. Lattices are rubbery or resinous in nature and the rubber molecules can be cross linked. Lattices can be plasticized or oil extended. Lattices have their own mechanical properties and temperature limits of serviceability. Latex is a dispersion of rubber particles in an aqueous phase. Most types of rubber, both natural and synthetic, can be made into a latex form. Latex gets used in specialized applications such as those requiring oil, solvent or flame resistance. Different mixing techniques produce different grades of dispersions i.e. ball milling or ultrasonic’s for fine particle dispersions and simple stirring or colloid milling for coarse dispersions. Latex dipping is used to make thin articles such as gloves, balloons, catheters, bladders; hot water bottles etc and very fine particle dispersions are needed. Coarser particle sized dispersion (slurry) is acceptable for latex foam, used mainly for carpet backing. The following range of additives can be mixed with the latex dispersion or emulsion: It is a worldwide multibillion dollar industry, A steady flow of new plastic materials, production processor & market demands has caused tremendous growth at 15% annually over 35 years. Flexible Polyurethene Foam

During the past 40–50 years, foamed polymers have found increasing importance in the world market place due to the unique characteristics and properties they provide when compared to solid plastics. While most thermo sets and thermoplastics can be made in a foamed or cellular structure under certain conditions, the materials known as polyurethanes have become predominant for many applications in this field. Through the proper selection of the starting materials, foamed polyurethanes can range in characteristics from extremely soft, resilient cushioning products to very tough and rigid structural members. As varied as the products are, so too are the machines and processes used to produce them. Certain other systems, such as polyureas, are also processed with the same equipment as polyurethanes. The word polyurethane is somewhat misleading since, unlike most plastics, the final product is not made by polymerizing a monomer. Instead, the products contain a number of polyurethane groups in a complex structure that is controlled by the choice of starting materials and the production conditions. Polyurethane formulations cover an extremely wide range of stiffness, hardness, and densities. These materials include: • Low-density flexible foam used in upholstery, bedding, and automotive and truck seating • Low-density rigid foam used for thermal insulation and RTM cores • Soft solid elastomers used for gel pads and print rollers • Low density elastomers used in footwear • Hard solid plastics used as electronic instrument bezels and structural parts • Flexible plastics used as straps and bands The global polyurethane foam types are significantly penetrating their end-user industry market. These have different characteristics as per the manufacturing and their application requirement in the end products. The Asia-Pacific market is expected to dominate with its growing demand for polyurethane foams in different applications especially bedding & furniture, and building & construction. The polyurethane foam demand in terms of value and volume depicts the current and future projections according to the parallel economic and industrial outlook. This analysis covers major developments, expansions, agreements & mergers, and acquisitions of the leading global companies. As a whole it is a good project for new entrepreneurs for investment. Rubber is polymer of butadiene and one of the most important chemical ingredients, which is widely used in the different field of modern advance world. Rubber is specially used in the tyre Industry, which is used in the different type of vehicles. Rubber products require rubber as a raw material. Either natural rubber, which is often cultivated on large plantations – with all the problems associated with a monoculture or alternatively synthetic rubber, which is produced using crude oil. Both processes use a high amount of resources. At the end of the chain, mountains of used car tyres crop up on the landscape. These waste sites are taken on by used tyre and rubber recycling plants nowadays. Waste tyre recycling technology is very cost effective and performs 100% wastage tyre recycling (No churn left after the process). In this process no chemical ingredients are used, therefore it is environment friendly. Raw material (wastage tyre) is cheap and easily available, Generate economically valuable products out of waste tyres and products have good market value and demand. Also each recycled ton of tyres preserves 10 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) that is a major green house gas. Some Uses of rubber powder Rubber powder has many applications like : Shoes factories, Tyres factories, Rubber connections factories, Oil seals factories, Hoses factories and likes. There is a rapid market increase of rubber powder in India. Demand of rubber powder in India is increased by 5%-8%. There is fair scope of this product. Presently reclaim rubber is used in the manufacture of tyres, butyl tubes, cycle tyres and tubes, battery containers, tread rubber, belts and hoses, moulded and extruded products. Control of fertility continues to be an important issue through the world even though the population growth rate has shown a steady decline in many countries, partly owing to the extensive use of condoms (male) or with use of oral contraceptives (female). Rubber condoms (male) are used by the majority of man today for enjoying the sexual intercourse. The function of the condoms it’s to collect the sperm created by the man during sexual intercourse. This condom prevents the sperm in penetrating into the female reproductory organ. The condoms or contraceptives (male) are usually made from natural rubber (latex). The rubber is used because of the unique physical properties which are Elasticity; Flexibility; Impermeable. The use of condoms or contraceptives results in steady decline in population of growth. In rural areas where peoples are illiterate & uneducated about sexual education did not utilized condoms or contraceptive. So the Government of India made a special programme to educate them about sexual education. The Government also made a special family planning programme for the rural areas. They generally advice the population or people of the rural areas to use condoms or other related things to check the greatly increasing population. In rural & urban areas the government sold condoms or contraceptive free of cost from and government dispensary & hospital. At present the country's total demand of condom is being fulfilled by total three manufacturing units. BLOOD BAGS - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue, Plant Economics

Blood bag is a disposable bio-medical device used for collection, storage, transportation and transfusion of human blood and blood components. The system consists of a single or multiple bag connected with tubings, needle, needle cover, clamp etc. The Blood Bags are made of plastic-material, which are compatible with blood. The introduction of flexible PVC bags for the storage of blood and its components totally replaced the use of glass bottles because of its numerous advantages. Blood bags enable better separation of blood components in a more sterile manner and safer transfusion of components. This has led to increasingly wider use of blood component therapy than whole blood use, thus enabling more effective use of the scarce donor blood that is available. Blood Bags can successfully replace the use of glass bottles for collection storage, transportation and transfusion of blood and blood components since bottles require exhaustive cleaning, rinsing and autoclaving procedures and there are chances of breakage at any stage. Further, use of disposable bags eliminates the possibility of any contamination. Blood bags contain an anticoagulant solution and a red blood cell preservative solution, and are used in blood banks which both collect donor blood and separate blood components. Blood bags are made from imported, medical grade PVC granules & sheets in Class 10000 Clean room environments. Increase in the healthcare facilities will further act as a driver for the growth of medical devices sector in India. Bicycle Tubes - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue, Plant Economics

Bicycle tubes are the backbone of the bicycle industries. Few numbers of companies in organized sector are engaged in the quality grade cycles tyres and tubes and few unorganized sector also engaged to manufacturing bicycle tyre and tubes. An inner tube is basically a doughnut-shaped balloon, with a valve for inflation. The only requirement for an inner tube is that it should not leak. Being rubber, they have no rigid structure. If an inner tube is inflated outside of a tire, it will expand to 2 or 3 times its nominal size, if it doesn't explode first. Without being surrounded by a tire, an inner tube can't withstand any significant air pressure. Most of the basic raw materials are indigenously available but there is short supply of natural rubber, it is required to import. Natural rubber is used in the carcass of passenger car cross-ply tyres for its building tack, ply adhesion, and good tear resistance. It is also used in the sidewalls of radial ply tyres for its fatigue resistance and low heat buildup. In tyres for commercial and industrial vehicles, natural rubber content increases with tyre size. Almost 100% natural rubber is used in the large truck and earthmover tyres which require low heat buildup and maximum cut resistance. Natural rubber is also used in industrial goods, such as hoses, conveyor belts, and rubberized fabrics; engineering products, for resilient load bearing and shock or vibration absorption components; and latex products such as gloves, and adhesives. Tubes of motorcycles and bicycle are used in the appropriate vehicle for riding the vehicle. Bicycles continue to be the principal mode of transport for the low and middle-income families. This is because of the bicycle is both environment and people friendly. India is the largest producer of bicycles next only to china. Today, the Indian bicycle manufacturing and bicycle parts industry is widely recognized for its quality standards in the international market. As bicycle continues to be the most popular mode of transport both in urban and rural areas, the demand for bicycle tubes is likely to increase day by day. Moreover, this is a labour intensive type of unit and can be located in rural areas solving rural unemployment problem.
