WATER BASED AND SOLVENT BASED FLEXO AND GRAVURE PRINTING INKS - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study

Flexography originated in about 1900 as “aniline-dye rubber printing, used for simple packaging prints. Flexographic printing inks are liquid, unlike letter press and offset inks. They dry very quickly. Packaging gravure must be adapted to many different printing materials and varying demands placed on the printed product. This requires much experience and great flexibility on the part of the printer. Rolls of paper, plastic films, aluminium foils and laminated stock are all subject to such printing. Gravure is the method of choice for printing with transfer inks. Aqueous printing inks containing selected textile disperse dyes are usually printed and dried on special papers. It is observed that there is growth demand rate increase 10-15% per annum, which is very large gap in demand and supply. It can be estimated that the same demand growth will be remain or increase due to popularity increase in the flexo and gravure printing. It can be concluded that there is very good scope for new entrepreneurs who has good knowledge of market and can produce quality product with economic price.

EXERCISE NOTE BOOK AND OFFSET PRINTING - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

Exercise note book, registers, pads and files are widely known and vastly used as day to day products. Exercise note books are of different shapes and sizes, accordingly. Used for different purposes. With the growth of education among the masses particularly in rural areas, industrialization and commercialization with in the country, the demand of stationery, notebook, has been increasing very fast. Other factors like population growth, compulsory primary education Govt. incentives, and age statistics have only increased the demand. Now these items are essential almost for every one. With the growing population, demand of writing and printing papers in the form of registers, notebook, paper pads etc. has very bright future scope. Any new entrepreneur can venture in to this field. Offset printing, also referred to as offset lithography, is a type of printing process used by virtually all large commercial printers. Offset printing is a technology that has been around for over 100 years now. Offset printing produces a finished product where the ink is completely flat on the paper with a matte finish. The term "Offset" gets its name from the fact that the plate cylinder which holds the art information does not come in contact with the paper. Offset printing is the most commonly used printing method today. Over 40% of all print jobs are carried out using offset printing. Offset printing can be done on a web printing press, one that use huge rolls of continuously fed paper, or a sheet fed press that, uses sheets of paper. Both types of presses produce printed materials that can be cut to size after printing. Offset printing uses all of the latest technology in printing. Offset printing works because water and the inks used in the printing process do not mix. The images to be printed are created on the computer and then "burned" onto metal plates using a chemical developing process similar to photography. The metal plates are dampened with water which adheres to the areas without images. The ink is added next, one color at a time, where it sticks to the areas with images. The most modern systems use a direct-to-plate system in which the images are burned directly to the metal plates; the omission of a secondary step saves time and money. The offset printing process requires a fairly large investment in equipment and set up. However, once the infrastructure is in place, offset printing itself is relatively inexpensive. Thus, the initial investment in an offset printing press can be fairly high but the actual cost of offset printing turns out very economical. There is a very good scope in this segment. New entrepreneurs should venture into this field. Few Indian Major Players are as under: Blue Bird (India) Ltd. Lodha Offset Ltd. Sundaram Multi Pap Ltd. Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Ltd.

Digital Printing Unit

Digital printing refers to methods of printing from a digital-based image directly to a variety of media. It usually refers to professional printing where small-run jobs from desktop publishing and other digital sources are printed using large-format and/or high-volume laser or inkjet printers. Digital printing has a higher cost per page than more traditional offset printing methods, but this price is usually offset by avoiding the cost of all the technical steps required to make printing plates. It also allows for on-demand printing, short turnaround time, and even a modification of the image (variable data) used for each impression. The savings in labor and the ever-increasing capability of digital presses means that digital printing is reaching the point where it can match or supersede offset printing technology's ability to produce larger print runs of several thousand sheets at a low price The digital printing market is expected to grow from USD 21.08 Billion in 2016 to USD 28.85 Billion by 2023, at a CAGR of 4.48% between 2017 and 2023. Screen Printing

Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed. Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of polyester or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance. Ink is forced into the mesh openings by the fill blade or squeegee and by wetting the substrate, transferred onto the printing surface during the squeegee stroke. As the screen rebounds away from the substrate the ink remains on the substrate. Screen T-shirt printing machines are being increasingly used to print T-shirts, having same design, in bulk to meet rising demand from large companies, NGOs, and communities etc. in Asia Pacific. As a result, spending on screen T-shirt printing machines is projected to increase by vendors, particularly focusing on providing low-cost customized T-shirts to their customers. The t-shirt printing machines is highly fragmented with large number of local players in each regional market. Some major players in the global custom t-shirt printing market are Brother International Corporation, Seiko Epson Corporation, ColDesi, Inc, Kornit Digital, The M&R Companies, Mimaki Global, Anajet, Konica Minolta, Inc., Mutoh Belgium nv, Mciroscreen Production Pte. GRAVURE PRINTING CYLINDERS

A gravure cylinder comprises a (typically) steel cylinder base, or an underlying metal structure that supports the engraved image-carrying layer. There are two primary types of cylinder bases: sleeve cylinders and shaft cylinders. A sleeve cylinder differs from a shaft cylinder in that it needs to have shafts attached prior to installing it on the press, whereas a shaft cylinder, as its name indicates, comes with shafts attached. The disadvantages of a sleeve cylinder include the fact that different shafts (with their own peculiar inaccuracies) are used during different stages of production—engraving, preparing, and printing—which create inaccuracies in the engraved image and, ultimately, in the printed image. Shaft cylinders, utilizing the same shafts at each stage of production, are remarkably accurate and, not surprisingly, are the most widely-used cylinder bases.
