Railway Sleepers Manufacturing

Railway Sleepers Manufacturing. PSC Sleepers for Railways. Production of Prestressed Concrete Railway Sleepers Prestressed concrete sleepers (or railroad ties) are principally designed in order to carry wheel loads from the rails to the ground as well as to secure rail gauge for dynamic safe movements of trains. In spite of the most common use of the prestressed concrete sleepers in railway tracks, the concrete sleepers are often modified on construction sites to fit in other systems such as cables, signaling gears, drainage pipes, etc. Railway sleepers, also called railroad ties, railway ties or crossties, are an important railway component. Generally, the rail sleeper is always laying between two rail tracks to keep the correct space of gauge. A concrete sleeper is a type of railway sleeper made out of steel reinforced concrete. Concrete is good in resisting compressive stress but is very weak in residing tensile stresses. Hence reinforcement is provided in the concrete wherever tensile stress is expected. Since elastic modulus of steel is quite high compared to concrete, the force developed in steel is high. A cage of reinforcements is prepared as per the design requirements, kept in the form work and then green concrete is poured. Market Outlook Indian railways is world’s largest railway network. Railways in India consume at about 350 Million concrete sleepers. The demand of such sleepers including Private players is expected to double to nearly 700 million sleepers in next 2 years. The Indian Railways is among the world’s largest rail networks. The Indian Railways network is spread over 115,000 km, with 12,617 passenger trains and 7,421 freight trains each day from 7,172 stations plying 23 million travelers and 3 million tons (MT) of freight daily. The railway network is also ideal for long-distance travel and movement of bulk commodities, apart from being an energy efficient and economic mode of conveyance and transport. The Government of India has focused on investing on railway infrastructure by making investor-friendly policies. It has moved quickly to enable Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in railways to improve infrastructure for freight and high-speed trains. At present, several domestic and foreign companies are also looking to invest in Indian rail projects. Global Railway Sleepers market size will increase to 980 Million US$ by 2025, from 710 Million US$ in 2018, at a CAGR of 4.7% during the forecast period. South America hold a market share of 6.63% will still play an important role which cannot be ignored. Any changes from Asia-Pacific might affect the development trend of Railway Sleepers. North America also play important roles in global market. Railway sleepers are predominantly produced from wood or concrete. Wooden sleepers are usually produced from hardwood, although soft wood is also possible depending on the application. Before the appearance of Concrete Sleepers, steel sleepers were also commonly used in the construction of railway tracks. Concrete sleepers can be produced from both new and recycled concrete. A railway sleeper is a rectangular support for the rails in railroad tracks. Generally laid perpendicular to the rails, ties transfer loads to the track ballast and subgrade, hold the rails upright and keep them spaced to the correct gauge. Railway sleepers are traditionally made of wood, but pre-stressed concrete is now also widely used, especially in Europe and Asia. Steel ties are common on secondary lines in the UK plastic composite ties are also employed, although far less than wood or concrete. From the view of region, Asia-Pacific and Europe have a larger sales market share in 2018 which together account for 74.02%, and will witness a stable growth in following years. Prestressed Concrete Sleepers

Concrete sleepers are one of the most important applications of a railway track system. The impact load characteristics and ultimate load carrying capacity of a prestressed sleeper, but the fatigue life of prestressed concrete sleepers is limited. The railway sleeper is a vital railway component that lies between the rail and the ballast. The important functions of sleepers include the following: uniform transfer and distribution of loads from the rail foot to ballast bed, provision of an anchorage for the fastening system, and the restraining of lateral, longitudinal, and vertical movement of the rails. Prestressing is the process of applying a load to a structure deforming is it so that it will with stand a work load more effectively or so that it will deflect less. Prestressed concrete is that in which internal stresses are introduced to such a magnitude and distribution that the tensile stresses resulting from the service loads are encountered to a desired degree. The prestresses are commonly introduced by tensioning the tensions. Indian railways is world’s largest railway network. Railways in India consume at about 350 Million concrete sleepers. The demand of such sleepers including Private players is expected to double to nearly 700 million sleepers in next 2 years. The Indian Railways is among the world’s largest rail networks. Cenosphere

The word Cenosphere is derived from two Greek words Kens (hollow) and Sphaira (sphere). Cenospheres are light weight, inert hollow sphere comprising largely of silica & alumina and filled with air or inert gas. Cenospheres are a naturally occurring by product of the burning process of pulverized coal-fired boilers. They are formed during the molten state of ash and attain spherical shape to have minimum surface tension. Cenospheres are formed from coal combustion ash when it is in a molten state. Flowing with the combustion gas stream, the temperature of the molten particles is rapidly quenched, thereby ‘freezing in’ a spherical shape. Any gas bubbles within the molten particles are also trapped inside the spheres. Cenospheres Market by Type (Gray Cenosphere, White Cenosphere), End-use Industry (Refractory, Construction, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Paints & Coatings), and market was valued at USD 346.8 Million in 2016 and is projected to reach USD 689.2 Million by 2022, at a CAGR of 12.16% from 2017 to 2022. Cenospheres are inert, light weight and hollow spheres particularly made of alumina or silica and filled with inert gases or air. They are typically manufactured as a by-product of coal combustion in the thermal power plants. The appearance of cenospheres varies from almost white to grey and its density is approximately 0.4–0.8 g/cm3 hence, they have the property of incredible buoyancy. Production of Jute Fabric and Gunny Bags

Jute is a natural vegetable fibre made from the outer stem and skin of the jute plant. Also known as 'the golden fibre' due to its shiny golden colour and financial worth, jute is valued for its versatility and wide range of applications. The most common use for jute fibre is in the production of jute fabric and a number of other fabrics, including hessian, scrim and canvas. These fabrics can be found in clothing, upholstery and soft furnishings, packaging of many kinds and geotextiles (for landscape reinforcement, landfill covering etc). Jute fabric is a type of textile fiber made from the jute plant. While there are a few different botanical varieties of jute, one of the main species used to make jute fabric is Corchorus olitorius (white jute). However, another species of jute, called Corchorus capsularis (tossa jute) is considered to be superior even though it is harder to cultivate. Cotton takes the title of most-produced plant-based fiber, but jute is a close second. Jute is one of the primary textile fibers of India and neighboring countries. Jute plants grow to be over 10 feet high, and the fibers derived from these plants are harvested in a single long string. Therefore, jute fibers are among the longest natural textile fibers in the world. The majority of the world’s jute is produced in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Specifically, 85% of jute production is localized to the Ganges River Delta, which spans throughout Bangladesh and the Bengal region of India. Jute fabric is used in gunny bags have long been used to transport vegetables, fruits, and other goods, and bags has also been used as an insulative material. Jute Gunny Bags using high quality raw material. Jute Gunny Bags are extensively used for carrying bulk material such as pulses, grains, etc. from one place to another. Jute has an overall positive impact on the environment. In fact, it is one of the few natural fibers that actually provides environmental benefits instead of being detrimental. Jute production actually returns nutrients to the soil and helps retain soil moisture. Therefore, jute are symbiotic crop, and growing this agricultural product diminishes the environmental impact. Liquid Hand Wash

Hands are primary mode of transmission of microbes and infections. Hand-washing is critical in food production, food service and also important in healthcare setting, homes and day care preparations. Hand hygiene is therefore the most important measure to avoid the transmission of harmful germs and prevent the infections. Hand hygiene is the single most important, simplest, and least expensive means of preventing nosocomial infections. To protect the skin from harmful micro organisms and to prevent spreading of many contagious diseases, hand washing is absolutely an important precaution. The significance of hand washing is more vital when it is allied to health care workers because of possible contagion of bacteria that can be pathogenic or opportunistic. Liquid soaps contain antimicrobial active ingredients which take away more bacteria as compared to plain soap. For control of Staphylococcal infections in hospitals and other health care’s, it has been found that the greatest benefits from hand washing came from the first 20% of washing and very petite additional benefits were gained when hand clean-up rate was increased beyond 35%. Washing with plain soap results in more than triple the rate of bacterial infectious diseases transmitted to food as compared to washing with antibacterial hand washes. Comparing hand washes with alcohol-based solutions and washing with antibacterial for a median time of 30 seconds, each one showed that the alcohol-based hand washes reduced bacterial contamination 26% more than the antibacterial. But liquid soap and water is the more effective than alcohol-based hand rubs for reducing H1N1 influenza A virus and Clostridium diffcile spores from hands. Liquid hand soap contains anionic surfactant, cocamide dea surfactant, coco betaine as amphoteric surfactant, opaque agent as making opaque, dye, fragrance, glycerine for prevention hand outside conditions and etc. In addition, antibacterial agent for making antibacterial hand liquid soap. Making hand liquid soap for children, can be used soft ingredients. For making natural liquid hand soap as opaque or clear not changing. used natural and herbal oil, potassium hydroxide, water, glycerine, dye and fragrance. These ingredients are used to make saponification for hand liquid soap as natural. One of the best ways to prevent infection from the coronavirus is to avoid being exposed to the virus and stop it from entering in the body. Some of the easiest ways to become infected by a virus is to transfer it from hands to mouth, nose or eyes. Washing hands using hand wash or soap has a dual effect, it primarily washes the virus away from body. It also disrupts the virus so it cannot bind and infect cells. The coronavirus (COVID-19) belong to the family of enveloped viruses. The “envelop” is like a jacket made up of lipids and proteins and protects the virus from the environment and helps it to enter human cells such as lung cells. Liquid hand wash, soaps, detergents and alcohol-based hand sanitizers disrupt the envelop resulting in the inactivation of these types of viruses. The global liquid soap market size was estimated at USD 18.50 billion in 2018. Rising awareness regarding personal hygiene among adults is expected to remain a key driving factor for the market. These liquid formulations are expected to gain popularity as they have low pH levels which make them gentler and suitable for people with sensitive skin. This factor is anticipated to contribute to the widespread adoption of the product in near future. Global Hand Soap market is forecast to witness rapid growth of around 6.7% over the forecast period of 2020-2030. Of all applications, the household segment accounts for more than 70% of the market share. Escalating demand for hand soap was observed in the first quarter of 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2nd quarter, the demand is projected to follow an upward trend with increasing awareness about hand hygiene across regions. The key market players include Reckitt Benckiser Group plc.; Procter & Gamble; Unilever; 3M; Lion Corporation; GOJO Industries, Inc.; Kao Chemicals; Godrej Consumer Products; Bluemoon Bodycare; NEW AVON LLC.; and Pental Products etc.

Production of Latex & Nitrile Gloves

Nitrile is a synthetic rubber compound that is commonly used as a disposable glove material. Nitrile has a higher puncture resistance than any other glove material. Nitrile also has a better chemical resistance than Latex or Vinyl gloves. Nitrile gloves are a more hypoallergenic choice. Created from synthetic rubbers, the incidence of nitrile rubber allergy is extremely low. Nitrile gloves are not packed in powder and are easy to handle directly on removal from the box. Nitrile gloves are considered to be the ideal choice in emergency situations when the allergy status of a patient or user is not known. Nitrile gloves are extremely durable and puncture resistant. Nitrile gloves can withstand exposure to oils, solvents, and chemicals which easily destroy natural latex gloves. Nitrile gloves are commonly used as exam gloves, but due to their strength, lend themselves to multiple uses. Nitrile comes in powdered form, sterile, non-sterile and offered at different lengths from wrist to forearm. They are designed for multiple uses that include basic exam room checks, to hazardous materials handling, like working with chemotherapy chemicals. Powder Free Nitrile Gloves are anti-static in behavior, good solvent resistant, odour free, and hence useful in food and dairy industry. Powder-free gloves reduce the cause of allergies by lowering protein and chemical content. Powdered gloves are usually lubricated with cornstarch, which makes them much easier to put on. Cornstarch coatings have replaced other powdering options such as lycopodium powder and talc because these other coating types have been found to irritate tissue. Nevertheless, even cornstarch can impede healing when coming into contact with tissues, so powder-free gloves are often preferred for surgeries and other sensitive procedures. Nitrile gloves however are not as soft as latex gloves, and are not known for being easy to wear. In fact, their strength is a weakness when dealing with applications that require fine movements and dexterity. Nitrile is also slightly more expensive to produce. Latex comes directly from rubber trees. Latex gloves are the most commonly used disposable gloves because they have been the only strong disposable glove material option on the market. However, now many hospitals and clinics have begun replacing their latex gloves with nitrile gloves. Latex gloves are often preferred by healthcare providers since they provide the best service when it comes to elasticity, comfort and fit. Surgeons in particular benefit from latex gloves since they are great for sensitive work, since they offer more precision with high tactile sensitivity. While there are allergy concerns with latex gloves, they are sometimes more favorable to users over a nitrile glove mainly due to comfort and strength. Generally Latex gloves will be more comfortable, sensitive, and provide better grip, although the modern advances in nitrile glove manufacturing has seen nitrile gloves become more comfortable, thinner, with better dexterity. LATEX GLOVES from The Safety Zone provide the best feel, fit and dexterity. Latex gloves are available in both lightly powdered and powder free options in a variety of thicknesses. Lightly powdered latex gloves are produced with a food grade corn starch powder, making donning easier especially when hands are wet. Powder free gloves go through an extra process of chlorinating the gloves to ease donning. Polymer coated latex gloves provide an additional barrier to prevent latex proteins from touching the skin. The physical properties of latex offer protection from bio hazardous risks whilst superior elasticity and tensile strength. These properties provide unsurpassed user comfort and a reasonable resistance to cuts and abrasions. As latex gloves are manufactured from a naturally occurring substance, they possess greater biodegradability and are kinder to the environment than Vinyl and Nitrile gloves, which are manufactured from man-made synthetic materials. GLOVE TYPE DEFINITION ADVANTAGE PROTECTION LEVEL Latex Gloves Made of natural rubber Highest comfort, Bacteria, viruses flexibility, fit and tactile sensitivity Nitrile Gloves Made of synthetic material Stretchy, durable Chemicals, viruses Special Features Nitrile gloves • Mould to your hand for a great fit • Latex free • Good durability • Excellent puncture resistance • Have a long shelf life • Available in powdered and powder free • Can be worn for longer periods of time • Work well for high-risk situations involving infectious materials Special Features Latex gloves • Fit like a second skin • They are cost effective • They are biodegradable so better for the environment • Very elastic and strong • Preferred in the medical industry over nitrile as they are made from a natural source • Good dexterity Market of Nitrile Gloves The Global Nitrile Gloves Market is expected to reach USD 3.50 Billion by 2027. Growth in the incidences of epidemic diseases and the subsequent increase in the demand for infection prevention and control utilities are expected to drive the market demand in the forecast period. Nitrile gloves are primarily used in the medical sector as a safety tool to prevent the spreading of infection between caretakers and patients. The benefits offered by nitrile gloves include superior strength, longevity, and better protection against bloodborne pathogens. Asia Pacific market is estimated to witness the fastest growth rate of 6.5% in the nitrile gloves market. This can be chiefly attributed to the growth of the healthcare sector and the food processing industry in the leading countries in this region, especially China, India, and South Korea. Key players of the market are ompanies Ansell, Hartalega Holdings Berhad, Dynarex Corporation, United Glove Inc., Kossan Rubber Industries Ltd., Supermax Corporation Berhad, Rubberex, Adventa Berhad, Kimberly Clark and 3M among others. Market of Latex Gloves Latex gloves are natural material, made out of rubber. Gloves are disposable items used during medical examinations and procedures intended to prevent cross-contamination between healthcare providers and patients. Examination gloves are sized in XS, S, M and L. Some brands also offer size XL. Gloves are mainly used by healthcare professionals generally for examination and surgery. Surgical gloves are generally sized more specifically since they are worn for a much longer period of time and require excellent dexterity. There are various benefits of latex gloves such as properly fit to skin, good touch sensitivity, cost-effective, can be worn for an extended amount of time, elastic & strong and most importantly it is biodegradable. India disposable gloves market generated $303 million in 2017, and is projected to reach $760 million by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 12.4% from 2018 to 2025. In terms of volume, the market is growing at a CAGR of 8.3% from 2018 to 2025. Ltd., Dahanu Rubber Gloves Manufacturing Co., Plasti Surge Industries Pvt. Ltd., Safeshield India Rubber Products Pvt. Ltd., Sara Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and 3p India. Role of gloves in covid-19 Medical gloves are used by health care personnel to prevent the spread of infection or illness. Medical gloves are disposable and include patient examination gloves and surgeon’s gloves. To help expand the availability of medical gloves, the FDA is providing regulatory flexibility, as described in the enforcement policy for gloves that is in effect during the COVID-19 public health emergency. When a person touches an object/surface contaminated by COVID-19 infected person, and then touches his own eyes, nose, or mouth, he may get exposed to the virus. Although this is not thought to be a predominant mode of transmission, care should be exercised while handling objects/surface potentially contaminated by suspect/confirmed cases of COVID-19. Nitrile gloves are preferred over latex gloves because they resist chemicals, including certain disinfectants such as chlorine. There is a high rate of allergies to latex and contact allergic dermatitis among health workers. However, if nitrile gloves are not available, latex gloves can be used. Non-powdered gloves are preferred to powdered gloves

Manufacturing of Gold and Diamond Jewellery

Manufacturing of Gold and Diamond Jewellery. Opportunities for Entrepreneurs to Start Own Business of Gold and Diamond Jewellery. Jewellery or Jewellery consists of decorative things worn for personal adornment, similar to brooches, rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and cufflinks. Jewellery could also be attached to the body or the clothes. From a western perspective, the term is restricted to durable ornaments, excluding flowers as an example. For many centuries metal, usually combined with gemstones, has been the normal material for Jewellery, however different materials similar to shells and other plant materials could also be used. Yellow gold is what most of the people envision after they think of gold Jewellery. Due to its colour, many of us assume that yellow gold is of a higher purity than white gold or rose gold. However, 18 carat yellow gold contains a similar amount of pure gold as 18 carat white or rose gold. The distinction in its colour comes from the very fact that this gold alloy contains silver, copper and zinc, which allows it to retain its golden colour. Yellow gold continues to be very popular round the world because it's the most hypo-allergenic and it requires {the least the smallest quantity} amount of maintenance of the three colors. For the Indian culture, jewelries plays a symbolic role. They carry ethnic and spiritual meanings, especially during weddings. The pieces of jewelries worn by the bride signifies that she is to become a part of her husband’s family unit. They’re a part of the purification ritual as she becomes a part of the extended family of her bridegroom. Indians give importance to the nuances of bridal jewelries. The heavier the nuances of those jewelries are the larger role they play within the legacy of the family and also the Jewellery itself. So before giving the jewelries to the bride, the family usually makes sure that they're significant with a lot of distinct designs. Methods of Manufacturing Jewellery There are four manufacturing methods, almost all the Jewellery is made with the combination of various methods:- 1. HAND FABRICATION In a hand-fabricated item, every element is formed, assembled, joined and finished manually or using hand tools. The quality of a hand-fabricated piece depends on the skills of the craftsman. It is useful for projects that involve combining multiple gems from old mounting. 2. LOST-WAX CASTING Also known as Investment Casing, this method is used for mass production as well as to make one-of-a-kind pieces. This type of manufacturing involves use of wax moulds to make silica shells in which metal is poured and allowed to harden. It is named so, since wax used for casting a mould is lost in the process. 3. DIE STRIKING The process starts with the manufacture of a steel pattern called a die, specially fashioned to create a particular Jewellery item or component. A die-striking machine cuts out blanks of the size and shape needed for the Jewellery to be made. The metal blanks, gold, silver etc. are struck between two dies, which forces the metal to enter each crevice in the die. It is often used to achieve styles that are strong and lightweight. It allows die-struck Jewellery to be thin and lightweight without sacrificing durability. Die struck items need less finishing than cast and hand-fabricated stuff. 4. ELECTROFORMING In this, wax copies are created and then coated with a thin, electrically charged layer of metal. The copies are then submerged in an electrically charged liquid that contains precious metal particles. These particles stick to the wax copies in layers. The wax melts out through a small hole in the rigid precious metal shell. This creates hollow Jewellery that’s surprisingly big, bold, lightweight, durable and comfortable. Gold Rules in India The preference on Indian customers for usual low-margin gold Jewellery products is based on long entrenched cultural drivers. That is no longer about in conformity with change. Gold forms a bond of affection from generation after generation. It has been central to the celebration over marriage in India because a very long time. Gold between India is also universally valued a store about wealth. That is the ignoble major driver of demand. Gold Jewellery products provide a tangible way to preserve wealth while at the identical time serving the cultural function of providing decoration and displaying wealth. Indian consumers will usually flavour gold above other Jewellery materials because of its dual role. Nevertheless, growing purchasing power gives them the opportunity according to buy complementary Jewellery such as much platinum Jewellery or diamond Jewellery. Overall, community in India is modernizing and becoming less traditional. Consumers have shown a willingness to amplify usual demand because gold Jewellery including purchases of Jewellery made from other precious materials kind of diamonds then platinum. At steady gold prices, demand because such products will grow faster than make a bid because of gold Jewellery products actually due to the fact such is still into the nascent stage Government Initiatives The Government of India made hallmarking mandatory for Gold Jewellery and Artefacts. A period of one year is provided for implementation i.e. till January 2021. As per Union Budget 2019-20, the GST rate has been reduced from 18 per cent to 5 per cent (*5 per cent without Input Tax Credit (ITC)) for services by way of job work in relation to gems and Jewellery, leather goods, textiles etc. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised the standard on gold hallmarking in India from January 2018. The gold Jewellery hallmark will now carry a BIS mark, purity in carat and fitness as well as the unit’s identification and the jeweler’s identification mark. The move is aimed at ensuring a quality check on gold Jewellery. The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to build India’s largest Jewellery Park in at Ghansoli in Navi-Mumbai on a 25 acres land with about more than 5000 Jewellery units of various sizes ranging from 500-10,000 square feet. Consumers are demanding new designs and varieties in Jewellery, and branded jewelers are able to fulfil their changing demands better than the local unorganized players. Moreover, increase in per capita income has led to an increase in sales of Jewellery, as Jewellery is a status symbol in India. The country can remain the most important marketplace for precious Jewellery in terms of potential for many years to come back. However, what's less clear is that the anticipated level of income growth. As an instance, many of us believe India is that the next China in terms of economic growth potential. At Equity Communications, view is that such beliefs are most optimistic based on understanding of India's structural deficiencies and business culture problems. Thinking is that india can stumble on at four to 7 percent annual gdp rate of growth - however still good enough to move a large number of Indians out of poverty. Like each different category, Jewellery also saw a tremendous growth this year. There was ne'er a much better time to enter into this market. The audience is ready, the backend process is set up, logistic chains are established, and most importantly customers trust is established. In addition to the current, new millennial generation buys Jewellery differently. They’re not progressing to family jewelers anymore; most of them are placed far away from home and would trust a worldwide online brand more than an offline store in their current city. India’s Jewellery and gem sector is among the fastest growing industries of the country, with the speed of growth recorded at approximately 15%. The most reason for the growth of the Jewellery business is attributed to domestic consumption during the festive seasons, wedding season, the monsoons and therefore the performance of the harvest. For instance, a firm that produces gold Jewellery might agree to sell the metal to customers as they physically purchase gold. Say if a jeweller needs 200 ounces of gold to produce 1000 gold rings. The production process might consume two weeks of his / her time, and within the same period, the consumer might not be willing to deal with the price risk. In this case, the jeweller might value more highly to sell a gold contract (200 ounces) on one in every of the gold exchanges and purchase physical gold at the same time for production purposes. Increasing disposable income and innovative Jewellery designs offered by manufacturers are anticipated to drive the demand for jewelry. Moreover, changing lifestyle and perception of Jewellery as a standing symbol is expected to boost the growth of this market. It held the most important market share and was valued at USD 117.1 billion because of increase in exports and imports of gold. Increasing of developing countries like India and China is one in all the most important reasons for the growth of gold Jewellery. Moreover, engagement and wedding diamond rings are quite common in most of the developed countries. In addition, availability of synthetic or laboratory-grown diamonds is propelling the growth of the diamond Jewellery segment. Synthetic diamonds are as real as natural diamonds as they need a similar internal structure. However, these diamonds are 20%-40% less expensive as compared to natural diamonds. Based on its potential for growth and value addition, the government of India has declared the Gems and Jewellery sector as a focus area for export promotion. The government has recently undertaken various measures to market investments and to upgrade technology and skills to promote ‘Brand India’ within the international market.
