TAURINE - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue, Plant Economics

Taurine, or 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is an organic acid. It is a major constituent of bile and can be found in the lower intestine and, in small amounts, in the tissues of many animals, including humans. Taurine is a derivative of the sulfur-containing (sulfhydryl) amino acid cysteine. Taurine is one of the few known naturally occurring sulfonic acids. Taurine is possibly best known as a health supplement, and is used in a variety of products. Bodybuilders take supplements of taurine coupled with creatine which may help in reducing muscle fatigue and soreness. Energy drinks, which are becoming hugely popular, especially among the teen and young adult set, often list taurine as one of its main supplemental ingredients. Applications: The main use of taurine is in infant formula to make it more like human milk (cow's milk is deficient in taurine). Taurine is also used in a wide variety of different functional drinks, ranging from "smart drinks" to "energy tonics" and is often used in conjunction with caffeine. Taurine is used in milk, dairy products, beverages, supplements, complex monosodium glutamate and certain specific foods. In the recent research on the effect of taurine on human intelligence and health, it has been discovered that taurine plays an active role in promoting the development of brain, maintaining the physiological functions of retina, regulating the conduction of nerve, enhancing the absorption and the acid- base metabolism of gall and promoting the functions of heart, liver and internal secretion. Emerging application: The new applications include that taurine can be used to treat “hangover” symptoms caused by excessive drinking and help the treatment of anxiety disorders and obesity. In the future, the demand from weight control food and alcoholism preventing health care products will drive the continuing growth of the international taurine consumption. A deficiency may impair vision and problems with fat metabolism may appear. Synthetic taurine is obtained from isethionic acid (2-hydroxyethanesulfonic acid), which in turn is obtained from the reaction of ethylene oxide with aqueous sodium bisulfite. Another approach is the reaction of aziridine with sulfurous acid. This leads directly to taurine. The global demand for taurine is in the region of 100 000 tonnes per annum and It is expected that the annual growth rate of the international taurine market will reach 15% in the few years. The import of taurine to India is around 11-12 MT per annum. There is an ample space and market for this product. Major taurine producers:Hubei Qianjiang Yongan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, China, Hubei Fu Chi chemical Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd,China , Changshu Renoke Food-additive Science Co., Ltd, China and others.

Spices (Masala)

Spices are non-leafy parts (e.g. bud, fruit, seed, bark, rhizome, and bulb) of plants used as a flavoring or seasoning, although many can also be used as an herbal medicine. The two terms may be used for the same plants in which the fresh leaves are used as herbs, while other dried parts are used as spices, e.g. coriander, dill. A masala can either be a combination of dried (and usually dry roasted) spices, or a paste (such as vindaloo masala) made from a mixture of spices and other ingredients—often garlic, ginger, onions and chili paste. • Spices contain an impressive list of plant-derived chemical compounds that are known to have disease preventing and health promoting properties. India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices; the country produces about 75 of the 109 varieties listed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and accounts for half of the global trading in spices. Total spices export from India stood at 226,225 tonnes valued at US$ 621.78 in April-June 2016, registering a year-on-year growth of 3 per cent. Moringa Oleifera Powder. Formulation and Processing of Moringa Oleifera

Moringa Oleifera Powder. Formulation and Processing of Moringa Oleifera. Moringa Processing Plant. Dehydrated Drum Stick Powder- Moringa Market is expected to Cross US$ 7 Billion By 2020 Moringa oleifera, also known as horseradish tree, ben tree, or drumstick tree, is a small tree from India, Pakistan, and Nepal that has been used for generations in Eastern countries to treat and prevent diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, anemia, arthritis, liver disease, and respiratory, skin, and digestive disorders. Moringa oleifera (Drumstick) is a plant that has been praised for its health benefits for thousands of years. It is very rich in healthy antioxidants and bioactive plant compounds. Moringa is a plant that is native to the sub-Himalayan areas of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It is also grown in the tropics. The leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, and root are used to make medicine. Moringa is used for “tired blood” (anemia); arthritis and other joint pain (rheumatism); asthma; cancer; constipation; diabetes; diarrhea; epilepsy; stomach pain; stomach and intestinal ulcers; intestinal spasms; headache; heart problems; high blood pressure; kidney stones; fluid retention; thyroid disorders; and bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections. Moringa is also used to reduce swelling, increase sex drive (as an aphrodisiac), prevent pregnancy, boost the immune system, and increase breast milk production. Some people use it as a nutritional supplement or tonic. Moringa oleifera tree has been considered as one of the most nutritious plants ever discovered with most of its benefits concentrated in its small green leaves. As is evident from its name, moringa powder is made from the freshly harvested leaves of the moringa oleifera tree. Fresh moringa leaf powder is deep green in color and has a rich nutty smell. This powder is prepared by drying the moringa leaves at low temperature such that the plant tissue reaches a fine powdered consistency. The powder is then screened to remove impurities and then made into capsules and sealed in bags. The most amazing part is that once packed, this powder remains fresh for several months, retaining its nutritional value of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, chlorophyll and complete amino-acids. The powder prepared from drumstick can be used as a flavoring agent for various non-vegetarian dishes to enhance the flavour of chicken or meat and can also be used for drumstick soup preparation by adding spice powder and other ingredients. In addition it can also be used as a thickening agent for Sambar and chutney preparation, instant soup powder and in parotta along with potato as a flavour enhancer. Uses of Moringa: • The bark, sap, roots, leaves, seeds, oil and flowers of moringa are used in traditional medicine in several countries. • The thickened root of the plant has been used as horseradish in the past. This practice is now discouraged, as the root contains alkaloids, which can prove fatal on ingestion. • The leaves of the plant serve culinary purposes. They are used as the greens in salads and also as pickles for seasoning. • The leaves of moringa can also be used for scrubbing utensils and cleaning walls. • The bark of the plant, which leads a coarse fiber, can also be used for the purpose of tanning. • Due to its high nutritional value, moringa has been used to reduce malnutrition, specifically among infants and nursing mothers, in developing tropical countries. The leaves of the plant are consumed fresh and also stored as dried powder for months. • Medicinally, the herb has been used for both treating and preventing certain medical conditions. However, there is not much scientific evidence to back these claims. In India, it is used to make a variety of Ayurveda medicines. • It is considered to possess properties of an antibiotic, according to some scientific researches. • The plant has also been used as an antibiotic for treating venomous bites and other conditions. It is also used to remedy rheumatism. • The seeds of moringa are used to obtain oil, which can be used to cook a variety of dishes. Uses of Drumstick Powder: The usage of drumstick powder is as per the below: • Drumstick powder is mainly used in curries, kormas, and dals and making tea. • Apart from that it also makes savory cutlets. • It imparts that special flavour to sambars and is used as a thickening agent. It gives a distinct palatable taste and is a rich source of glutamic acid. • It is highly useful in joint pains. Few Indian major players are as under: • Thylakoid Biotech Pvt.
