Fertilizers, Fertilisers, Inorganic Fertilizers (Mineral Fertilizer), Macronutrients and Micronutrients, NPK, SSP, Single Super Phosphate, Urea, Nitrogen Fertilizer,Nitrogenous Fertilizer, Diammonium Phosphate Projects

Fertilizers have played a vital role in the success of India’s green revolution and consequent self-reliance in foodgrains production. The increase in fertilizer consumption has contributed significantly to sustainable production in foodgrains in the country. Fertilizer is generally defined as “any material, organic or inorganic, one or more of the chemical elements required for plant growth”

India is the third largest fertilizer producer in the world. Fertilizer is a crucial input contributing to about 40 per cent of the productivity of the crop. With expanding agricultural production, improvement in technology and growing awareness among farmer, the consumption of agrochemicals has been on the upswing. The agrochemicals industry is made up of insecticides (74%), herbicides (20%) and fungicides (6%). India is one among the most dynamic generic pesticides manufacturing countries with a total market size of Rs 89 billion per annum. And yet, India’s own average consumption of pesticides is very low at 480gms per hectare which results in crops worth about Rs 120 billion being annually destroyed by pests. Crop protection has assumed special importance since foodgrains demand in the country is supposed to reach an estimated 343 million tonne by 2020.

The agrochemical industry is spread over around 20 large manufacturers and 600 formulators. While the organized sector contributes 55% to the industry’s output, the small scale sector makes up for the balance. The Indian industry has been focusing sharply on integrated crop management (ICM), increasing exports of genuine pesticides and concentrating on farmer friendly activities.

The pesticide industry is targeting a 10% share of global pesticides market and has been working on the ICM programme to introduce safer applications, spray devices and crop protection through balanced use of biological and chemical pesticide. The exports cover pesticide intermediates. Pesticides export from India was growing at the rate of 15% and is expected to witness a more accelerated growth. Spurious chemicals are growing at rates varying from 10% to 12% and have cornered a large chunk of the market.

The generic pesticide players include Excel Industries, Cheminova India, United Phosphorus, Rallis India, Aimco Pesticides, Bharat Rasayan, Bayer (India), Aventis, Meghmain Organics etc. producing a range of products like urea, DAP,MOP, Nitrogenous fertilizer(N), Phosphatic fertilizer(P), Potassic fertilizer(K) and NPK etc.

To conclude, fertilizer is a key ingredient in ensuring the food security of the country, as it increases the production and productivity of the soil. The domestic foodgrain production target has been set at 320 million tonnes by 2011-2012. This target can be achieved by higher productivity through improved farming practices, expansion of irrigation, better seeds and extensive and balanced use of fertilizers. Towards this end, the government of India is now planning to raise the production of urea by the end of 11th Five Year Plan by taking concrete steps to boost production and productivity. All these things show the definite growth of fertilizer industry in India.

Organic Fertilizer - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Potentially recyclable nutrients are largely in the form of the organic materials-night soil, animal manure, sewage sludge, composts, slaughter house wastes, and crop residues. There are some who believe that only naturally derived organic material should be used as fertilizer. Organic fertilizers do, indeed, have valuable properties as soil amendments. In particular, their humus content enhances the efficiency of mineral fertilizer, improves soil structure, increases water retention by soil, and decreases soil erosion. Vegetation like all living things requires certain foods for its survival and growth. For this purpose fertilizers or manure are the materials to be added to the soil and sometimes to foliage to supply nutrients to sustain plants and promote their abundant and fruitful growth. The elements that constitute these plants foods are divided into three classes. • Primary Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (usually expressed as P2O5), and potassium (expressed as K2O) • Secondary - calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) and Sulphur (S) • And Minor or so called micro nutrients Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu) Zinc(Zn), Boron(B) and Molybdenum. In addition to their role as nutrients calcium and magnesium are important in adjusting the pH and filth of the soil. In the modern age the trend is more towards the Biofertilizers by virtue of their multifold superiority in soil replenishment with essential minerals, essential nutrients to the plant tissue, easy assimilation and above all greater economy. Mention may be made here of a very significant factor which is brought into play that bio-fertilizers are highly, Salubrious, resulting in healthiest possible growth of various parts of the plants. Municipal Solid Waste Management - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost & Revenue

Due to rapid increase in the production and consumption processes, societies generate as well as reject solid materials regularly from various sectors – agricultural, commercial, domestic, industrial and institutional. The considerable volume of wastes thus generated and rejected is called solid wastes. In other words, solid wastes are the wastes arising from human and animal activities that are normally solid and are discarded as useless or unwanted. This inevitably places an enormous strain on natural resources and seriously undermines efficient and sustainable development. One of the ways to salvage the situation is through efficient management of solid wastes. There has been a significant increase in MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) generation in India in the last few decades. This is largely because of rapid population growth and economic development in the country. Solid waste management has become a major environmental issue in India .The limited revenues earmarked for the municipalities make them ill-equipped to provide for high costs involved in the collection, storage, treatment, and proper disposal of MSW. As a result, a substantial part of the MSW generated remains unattended and grows in the heaps at poorly maintained collection centres. Waste management market is expected to be worth US$ 13.62 billion by 2025. Indian municipal solid waste (MSW) management market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.14% by 2025 while e-waste management market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 10.03% during the same period. Complex NPK Fertilizer - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Fertilizers are chemical compounds applied to promote plant and fruit growth. Fertilizers are usually applied either through the soil (for uptake by plant roots) or by foliar feeding (for uptake through leaves). Artificial fertilizers are inorganic fertilizers formulated in appropriate concentrations and the combinations supply three main nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (N, P and K) for various crops and growing conditions. N (nitrogen) promotes leaf growth and forms proteins and chlorophyll. P (phosphorus) contributes to root, flower and fruit development. K (potassium) contributes to stem and root growth and the synthesis of proteins The physical condition of a soil is one of the fundamental factors affecting crop growth, development and yield. This is because the soil physical properties have very high degree of correlation with crop production and have high influence on soil fertility and crop performance. NPK mixture fertilizers are formulated & recommended by agricultural scientists to enhance the output of the crops by giving it specific and exclusive blend of plant nutrients like balanced diet for human being. All the major plant nutrients like Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potash are mixed in different ratios to make it suitable for specific crops. Therefore, it is a good project for entrepreneurs to invest. Micronutrients Fertilizer for Banana, Vegetables and Citrus - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study

Micronutrients are elements which are essential for plant growth, but are required in much smaller amounts than those of the primary nutrients; nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The micronutrients are boron (B), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), zinc (Zn), and chloride (Cl). While chloride is a micronutrient, deficiencies rarely occur in nature, so discussions on supplying micronutrient fertilizers are confined to the other six micronutrients. Deficiencies of micronutrients have been increasing in some crops. Some reasons are higher crop yields which increase plant nutrient demands, use of high analyses NPK fertilizers containing lower quantities of micronutrient contaminants, and decreased use of farmyard manure on many agricultural soils. Micronutrient deficiencies have been verified in many soils through increased use of soil testing and plant analyses. A micronutrient fertilizer composition should fulfill the following criteria in order to secure the best effect and optimum plant growth: It should contain a number of the essential micronutrients, and preferably all of the essential micronutrients which are not readily available from the soil; It should be formulated and applied so as to ensure the best possible absorption of the micronutrients by the plant; It should be applied at the proper time in relation to the growth of the plant, i.e. especially at the beginning of the plant's growth cycle and when the soil temperature is at least about 5°C It has now been found that crop plants can easily and inexpensively be provided with a suitable balance of the essential micronutrients in a readily available form by means of a novel solid micronutrient fertilizer composition comprising the micronutrients in the form of metal salts together with at least one water-soluble nitrate. NPK Compound Fertilizer (Granular Type)

Fertilizers are soil amendments applied to promote plant growth, the main nutrients added in fertilizer are nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients are added in smaller amounts. Collectively, the main nutrients vital to plants by weight are called macronutrients, including: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) (i.e. N- P-K). NPK ratings consist of three numbers separated by dashes (e.g., 10-10-10 or 16-4-8) describing the chemical content of fertilizers. The first number represents the percentage of nitrogen in the product; the second number, P2O5 the third, K2O. Fertilizers do not actually contain P2O5 or K2O, but the system is a conventional shorthand for the amount of the phosphorus (P) or potassium (K) in a fertilizer. A 50-pound (23 kg) bag of fertilizer labeled 16-4-8 contains 8 lb (3.6 kg) of nitrogen (16% of the 50 pounds), an amount of phosphorus equivalent to that in 2 pounds of P2O5 (4% of 50 pounds), and 4 pounds of K2O (8% of 50 pounds). Compound fertilizers are N-P-K fertilizers with other elements purposely intermixed. Fertilizers are classified according to the content of these three elements. Labeling is according to relative amounts of each of the three elements by weight (i.e., mass fraction). The development of the agriculture sector and improvement of the living standards of small-scale farmers are priorities of the Government of Malaysia. A higher level of agricultural production requires an increased and/or more efficient use of inputs, especially fertilizers. The main sources of imported urea were from Indonesia (54.5% valued at RM 286.1 million), China (21.0% valued at RM110.2 million). Urea export by Malaysia, has been trending upward since 2004 (RM492.0 million) to 2008 (RM 900.0 million). The major importing countries of Malaysian urea in 2008 were 8 Thailand (32.5%), Australia (26.8%), Japan (13.5%), India (14.0%) and the Philippines (6.0%). The global trade in NPKs grew from 13mn t in 2010 to16mn t in 2016.Russia has continued to increase export capacity, Moroccan NPK exports leapt from 74kt in 2013 to 840kt by 2016,Belarus NPK exports have also grown strongly from around 250kt in 2009/10 to 800kt in 2016.

Biofertilizer and Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM)

A bio fertilizer (also bio-fertilizer) is a substance which contains living microorganisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promotes growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant. Bio-fertilizers add nutrients through the natural processes of nitrogen fixation, solubilizing phosphorus, and stimulating plant growth through the synthesis of growth-promoting substances. Bio-fertilizers can be expected to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The microorganisms in bio-fertilizers restore the soil's natural nutrient cycle and build soil organic matter. Phosphate rich organic manure is a type of fertilizer used as an alternative to diammonium phosphate and single super phosphate. Phosphorus is required by all plants but is limited in soil, creating a problem in agriculture. In many areas phosphorus must be added to soil for the extensive plant growth that is desired for crop production. Phosphorus was first added as a fertilizer in the form of single super phosphate (SSP) in the mid-nineteenth century, following research at rothamsted experimental station in England. SSP is non-nitrogen fertiliser containing phosphate in the form of monocalcium phosphate and gypsum which is best suited for alkali soils to supplement phosphate and reduce soil alkalinity. Biofertilizers and prom are a product that is likely to be commercially promising in the long run once information becomes available adequately to producers and farmers through experience and communication. In India, government has been trying to increase the application of bio fertilizers along with modern agrochemicals. With the increasing pressure on global food production and development in technologies of fertilizer production, the demand for fertilizers is expected to increase, which in turn would enhance the growth of the biofertilizers market. As a whole it is a good project for new entrepreneurs to invest.
