Construction & Building Materials Projects

The construction industry is the second largest industry in India after agriculture. It accounts for about 11% of India’s GDP. It makes significant contribution to the national economy and provides employment to large number of people.Construction constitutes 40% to 50% of India's capital expenditure on projects in various sectors such as highways, roads, railways, energy, airports, irrigation etc. There are mainly three segments in the construction industry like real estate construction which includes residential and commercial construction; infrastructure building which includes roads, railways, power etc; and industrial construction that consists of oil and gas refineries, pipelines, textiles etc.Building material is any material which is used for a construction purpose. Many naturally occurring substances, such as clay, sand, wood and rocks, even twigs and leaves have been used to construct buildings. Apart from naturally occurring materials, many man-made products are in use.

The feasibility of infrastructure projects in ports, roads, airports and railways with private-sector majority ownership is already evident. The government also expects a substantial increase in the share of private sector investments in infrastructure from 19 per cent in the Tenth Plan to around 30 per cent in the Eleventh Plan. The biggest increase in private participation is expected in roads (from 5 per cent to 36), ports (47 per cent to 74 per cent) and railways (less than 1 per cent to 20 per cent). The Planning Commission estimates that the remaining infrastructure investments will be funded by the central and state government. According to a study by ASSOCHAM, the burgeoning Indian construction industry, currently worth $70 billion, will rise to US$120 billion by 2010.

The Commonwealth Games - 2010 in New Delhi have thrown mega opportunities for Building Material Companies, Construction Equipments & Technologies companies. The Govt. of India has permitted FDI up to 100% for development of integrated townships in India last year. India is now the second most favored destination for FDI, behind China. A large and growing middle class population of more than 300 million people, a changing life style, better cost of living etc is growth drivers for this sector.

The Indian construction industry, an integral part of the economyand a conduit for a substantial part of its development investment, is poised for growth on account of industrialization, urbanization, economic development and people's rising expectations for improved quality of living in the coming years.

Low Tension Cables, LT Power Cables Manufacturing Industry

Low Tension Cables, LT Power Cables Manufacturing Industry. Industrial LT Cables Production Business LT Cables or Low Tension PVC Cables are defined as per IS 1554 Part I having voltage grade up to 3.3kv. LT Cables designed to be used underground directly, buried in ducts, trenches or in tunnels for electric power transmission, are used in many applications including: • Infrastructure • Industries • Power Generation • Automation • Lighting • Sound and security • Video surveillance • Fire alarm Some LT cables with Special Fire Properties are used in Oil, Gas and Petroleum Sector and in application areas where fire safety is of critical importance. Low tension cables are used for transmitting the voltages below than 1 KV. Because the cable is not prone to any special electrostatic stress its construction is kept normal. Even the insulation is very simple in which a paper is impregnated using oil. Its viscosity increases by applying the resin and it also avoids damage. Over the outer sheath layer, there is another layer which keeps the cable protected from moisture and any environmental damage. There are two more types of low tension cable which are as follows. • Single-Core Cable A stranded circular core which is insulated with lead sheath. The lead sheath prevents any moisture penetration in the cable. Above the lead sheath, there is another layer which prevents the metal from corrosion. In these cables, no armoring is done during its manufacturing because the armor becomes a reason of excessive loss. • Multicore Cable A three core cable insulated with each other. The strands of the conductor are either circular shaped, oval or section-wise these are insulated using impregnated paper. Similar to the single core cable, the insulation is provided on each belt of the core. This outer covering prevents the penetration of moisture in the cable. A coating of lime water is also provided on the outer layer to avoid the cable to act adhesive. The major demand for electric wire and cable in India is likely to come from the railway and construction sectors due to rising government investment. The Government of India has allocated a budget of approximately 18 billion for the development of Indian Railways during 2016-2017 and the government also plans to develop 100 smart cities during the forecast period. Power cables, a critical segment of the power sector, are experiencing an escalating demand owing to the growth in power generation infrastructure. India is one of the biggest consumers of electric energy after the US and China. With rapid industrial development and urbanization in the country. However, the overall generation capacity is unable to cater to the existing demand. Moreover, the T&D infrastructure is quite old and needs extensive renovation. Rural electrification is another major factor, which is expected to propel the growth of the electric wire and cable market in India. GOI's goal to provide electricity to every home by 2020 should attract major investments in the sector. Wires and cables play an indispensable role in today’s digitally advanced life and find extensive usage across a number of applications in several industries. The extensive usage and applications of wires and cables across various industries will put the wires and cables industry on the right path for the future. Blending and Bottling of Thinners and Solvent Thinners

Blending and Bottling of Thinners and Solvent Thinners. Production of Paint Thinners and Solvents A paint thinner is a solvent used to reduce thickness of oil-based paints or clean up after their use. They can also be used to remove tar buildup and other compounds. The thinner has the ability to reduce all coatings that use conventional high VOC thinners. Normally paint thinner is used to remove oil-based paint from brushes, rollers, equipment, and surfaces. However, there are many other applications and uses for paint thinner saving you money and time. Paint thinner is one of the most common industrial chemicals, and it’s also one of the most versatile. In addition to thinning paint products for use and for cleanup, paint thinner is excellent for other industrial cleaning applications — removing stains, grease and more from certain surfaces. Solvent, Substance, ordinarily a liquid, in which other materials dissolve to form a solution. Polar solvents (e.g., water) favour formation of ions; nonpolar ones (e.g., hydrocarbons) do not. Solvents may be predominantly acidic, predominantly basic, amphoteric (both), or aprotic (neither). Organic compounds used as solvents include aromatic compounds and other hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, ethers, ketones, amines, and nitrated and halogenated hydrocarbons. Their chief uses are as media for chemical syntheses, as industrial cleaners, in extractive processes, in pharmaceuticals, in inks, and in paints, varnishes, and lacquers. Market Outlook Solvent Moderate growth is estimated for India solvents market during the forecast period 2016 to 2024. Some of the major applications of solvents include adhesives and sealants, paints and coatings, printing inks. Demand for organic solvents has been continuously growing in the global market on account of its growing application across various end-use industries. However, growing environmental issues coupled with volatile nature of key raw material prices is expected to remain a key challenge for industry participants. To reduce these effects, the industry has shifted its focus towards developing bio-based solvents which are environmentally friendly in nature. In the quest to achieve sustainability, leading solvent manufacturers have been collaborating with top biotechnology firms to manufacture bio-based solvents. The industrial solvents market can be segmented on the basis of products into hydrocarbons, acids, esters, glycols, aromatics, alcohols, ketones, ethers and other products. Hydrocarbon solvent is the leading segment owing to high demand from the end users due to its organic properties. Some of the applications of industrial solvents are dissolution agent, cleaning, and degreasing, paints and coatings, printing products and cleaning and others. Among all, dissolution agents dominated the industrial solvents market with around 48% of the share of the overall market. Paints and coatings segment is likely to experience a high growth in the forecast period owing to rising demand from infrastructure and automobile industry. Industrial solvents market has significantly changed the modern living and made solvents one of the most valuable and useful products for various end user industries and manufacturing companies. Some of the more important uses of industrial solvents are in electronic industry, pesticides, photographic reproduction and textile industries. Large quantities of industrial solvents are also involved in oil refining and recovery, dry cleaning, rubber and polymer, fuel additives and metal degreasing. Most of the solvents in industrial solvents market are primarily used as dissolution agent in various industries which accounts for about half of market share followed by cleansing, degreasing and purification. The growing demand from pharmaceutical, paints and coating industry is fueling the global demand for industrial solvent market. On the basis of product types, industrial solvents market can be segmented intooxygenated, hydrocarbon, and halogenated. These have been further segmented into alcohols, glycols, ketones, ethers, glycol ethers and esters for oxygenated solvents, aromatic and aliphatic solvents for hydrocarbon, perchloroethylene, methylene chloride, trichloroethylene for halogenated solvents. The other possible segmentation of industrial solvents market can be done on the basis of raw materials such conventional and green, whilst green industrial solvents market is expected to show high CAGR during the forecast period. White Cement

White cement is typically specified to ensure clean, bright, consistent colors, including light pastels. White cement allows a wide range of color options for producing structural and architectural concrete, as well as masonry and cementations building products. The final color and look of concrete and masonry materials are affected by many factors: White cement is a construction material, which exhibits aesthetic and hydraulic binding properties. This cement is often deployed along with pigments to impart attractive color to the concretes and mortars, which is not feasible with ordinary gray cement. White cement is extensively used as an alternative to gray cement owing to its value-added properties such as its ability to reflect heat and improved aesthetic appearance. The demand for white cement is higher among countries with hot environment conditions as more heat is reflected from the resulting white concrete surface when compared to standard gray concrete. Benefits • While grey cement is great for normal bricklaying work, white cement is necessary for the surface of the wall. It makes the walls resistant to external elements & acts as a smooth base for the paint. • The process is called a ‘wash’. The custom is to have your walls lime-washed; however, using white cement concrete mix will serve you multiple benefits. • The white cement wash offers a much better finish to start with, concealing hairline cracks with a durable, matte finish. The second benefit is the effect on the paints; the white surface allows the paint to stand out while also protecting it from moisture from the walls. The white cement market is expected to register a significant growth during 2018 to 2023 (the forecast period). This tremendous growth is supported by the increasing construction activities in emerging economies.
