Construction & Building Materials Projects

The construction industry is the second largest industry in India after agriculture. It accounts for about 11% of India’s GDP. It makes significant contribution to the national economy and provides employment to large number of people.Construction constitutes 40% to 50% of India's capital expenditure on projects in various sectors such as highways, roads, railways, energy, airports, irrigation etc. There are mainly three segments in the construction industry like real estate construction which includes residential and commercial construction; infrastructure building which includes roads, railways, power etc; and industrial construction that consists of oil and gas refineries, pipelines, textiles etc.Building material is any material which is used for a construction purpose. Many naturally occurring substances, such as clay, sand, wood and rocks, even twigs and leaves have been used to construct buildings. Apart from naturally occurring materials, many man-made products are in use.

The feasibility of infrastructure projects in ports, roads, airports and railways with private-sector majority ownership is already evident. The government also expects a substantial increase in the share of private sector investments in infrastructure from 19 per cent in the Tenth Plan to around 30 per cent in the Eleventh Plan. The biggest increase in private participation is expected in roads (from 5 per cent to 36), ports (47 per cent to 74 per cent) and railways (less than 1 per cent to 20 per cent). The Planning Commission estimates that the remaining infrastructure investments will be funded by the central and state government. According to a study by ASSOCHAM, the burgeoning Indian construction industry, currently worth $70 billion, will rise to US$120 billion by 2010.

The Commonwealth Games - 2010 in New Delhi have thrown mega opportunities for Building Material Companies, Construction Equipments & Technologies companies. The Govt. of India has permitted FDI up to 100% for development of integrated townships in India last year. India is now the second most favored destination for FDI, behind China. A large and growing middle class population of more than 300 million people, a changing life style, better cost of living etc is growth drivers for this sector.

The Indian construction industry, an integral part of the economyand a conduit for a substantial part of its development investment, is poised for growth on account of industrialization, urbanization, economic development and people's rising expectations for improved quality of living in the coming years.

A.A.C. Blocks from Silica Sand & Lime Stone Powder - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunity

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is a non-combustible, lime-based, cementitious building material that is expanding into new worldwide markets. As a single-component building material, AAC has achieved acceptance in new markets throughout the world. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is a fully integrated building system of panels and blocks that are used for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. AAC, a light-weight green building material, is fire resistant and has good thermal insulation, solid structure and is easy to work with. This is a light- weight building material produced by autoclaving a set mix of fine siliceous materials such as ground sand or fly ash and a binder like Portland cement or lime. Lightness is achieved by incorporating a large proportion of closed microscopic pores in the slurry with the help of entraining or foaming agent. AAC products are equally suitable for residential construction, multistory buildings, commercial, and industrial construction. The products are made of natural materials: sand, lime, and water. These raw materials are processed to provide a building material with a large number of air pores; hence, aerated concrete. Fine pores (nearly 70% of the product) and the solid structure of calcium silicate hydrate gives AAC its exceptional material properties. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) products are 4 times lighter in weight than ordinary concrete. Its characteristic structure comprising millions of tiny pores, it offers optimum solidity at low weight. As air has a low heat conductivity, aerated concrete provides for excellent thermal protection. It protects from cold and heat, allowing for single-shell constructions which provide more space, save time and reduce costs-aspects which are of considerable importance to property developers. Laminated Particle Board - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Particle board is defined as a panel product manufactured from lignocellulosic materials, primarily in the form of discrete particles, combined with a synthetic resin or other suitable binder and bonded together under heat and pressure. The primary difference between particle board and other reconstituted wood products, such as wafer board, oriented strand board, medium density fiber board, and hard board, is the material or particles used in its production. The major types of particles used to manufacture particle board include wood shavings, flakes, wafers, chips, sawdust, strands, slivers, and wood wool. The term particle board sometimes is used generically to include wafer board and oriented strand board, which are manufactured primarily with wood flakes and wafers. However, for the purposes of this report, particle board pertains only to panels manufactured from a mixture of wood particles or otherwise from wood particles other than wafers and flakes. Particle board provide an ideal base for a wide variety of surface treatments. Apart from clear finishes and paints these include wood veneers, high and low pressure laminates, papers, PVC film and fabrics. Particle board is cheaper, denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood and is substituted for them when appearance and strength are less important than cost. However, particle board can be made more attractive by painting or the use of wood veneers onto surfaces that will be visible. Though it is denser than conventional wood, it is the lightest and weakest type of fiberboard, except for insulation board. Medium-density fiber board and hardboard, also called high-density fiberboard, are stronger and denser than particle board. Paint Industry (Decorative Paint & Acrylic Emulsion Paint)

Paint is any liquid, liquefiable, or mastic composition that, after application to a substrate in a thin layer, converts to a solid film. It is most commonly used to protect, color, or provide texture to objects. Paint can be made or purchased in many colors—and in many different types, such as watercolor, synthetic, etc. Paint is typically stored, sold, and applied as a liquid, but dries into a solid. The binder is the film-forming component of paint. It is the only component that must be present if the binder material is suitable for application. Many binders are too thick to be applied and must be thinned. The type of thinner varies with the binder. The thinner is also called the vehicle, because it makes it possible to transfer the binder to the surface with a brush, roller or sprayer. Components listed below are included optionally, depending on the desired properties of the cured film. Paint can be applied as a solid, a gaseous suspension (aerosol) or a liquid. Techniques vary depending on the practical or artistic results desired. The decorative coatings have various applications such as interior and exterior house paints, primers, sealers, varnishes and stains. Industrial paints and coatings are used by several industries, including machinery manufacturing, automotive, and consumer goods. Based on their formulation, industrial paints and coatings can be segmented into four categories: water-based, solvent-based, powder, and UV-based.
