Manufacturing of Disposable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kit

The purpose of personal protective equipment is to reduce employee exposure to hazards when engineering controls and administrative controls are not feasible or effective to reduce these risks to acceptable levels. PPE is commonly used in health care settings such as hospitals, doctor's offices and clinical labs. When used properly, PPE acts as a barrier between infectious materials such as viral and bacterial contaminants and your skin, mouth, nose, or eyes (mucous membranes). The barrier has the potential to block transmission of contaminants from blood, body fluids, or respiratory secretions. PPE may also protect patients who are at high risk for contracting infections through a surgical procedure or who have a medical condition, such as, an immunodeficiency, from being exposed to substances or potentially infectious material brought in by visitors and healthcare workers. When used properly and with other infection control practices such as hand-washing, using alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and covering coughs and sneezes, it minimizes the spread of infection from one person to another. Effective use of PPE includes properly removing and disposing of contaminated PPE to prevent exposing both the wearer and other people to infection. The PPE include face shields, gloves, goggles and glasses, gowns, head covers, masks, respirators, and shoe covers. Face shields, gloves, goggles and glasses, gowns, head covers, and shoe covers protect against the transmission of germs through contact and droplet routes. The global personal protective equipment market size was estimated at USD 50.9 billion in 2019 and expected to register a CAGR of 6.6%. Increasing need for respiratory equipment in mining, emergency response, military and law enforcement, healthcare, and fire services, coupled with rising instances of hand injuries at the workplace, is anticipated to propel market growth over the coming years. Growing awareness regarding workers’ health and safety, in addition to rising industrial fatalities primarily in emerging economies owing to lack of personal protective equipment (PPE), is anticipated to steer the market over the forecast years. Technological innovation, accompanied by changing consumer needs for PPE, is further projected to augment market expansion. The outbreak of COVID-19 has increased the demand for PPE products including masks, respirators, protective clothing, and gloves. The manufacturing, aerospace, etc. sectors have supplied PPE to their employees to protect them from the sudden outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19. Liquid Hand Wash

Hands are primary mode of transmission of microbes and infections. Hand-washing is critical in food production, food service and also important in healthcare setting, homes and day care preparations. Hand hygiene is therefore the most important measure to avoid the transmission of harmful germs and prevent the infections. Hand hygiene is the single most important, simplest, and least expensive means of preventing nosocomial infections. To protect the skin from harmful micro organisms and to prevent spreading of many contagious diseases, hand washing is absolutely an important precaution. The significance of hand washing is more vital when it is allied to health care workers because of possible contagion of bacteria that can be pathogenic or opportunistic. Liquid soaps contain antimicrobial active ingredients which take away more bacteria as compared to plain soap. For control of Staphylococcal infections in hospitals and other health care’s, it has been found that the greatest benefits from hand washing came from the first 20% of washing and very petite additional benefits were gained when hand clean-up rate was increased beyond 35%. Washing with plain soap results in more than triple the rate of bacterial infectious diseases transmitted to food as compared to washing with antibacterial hand washes. Comparing hand washes with alcohol-based solutions and washing with antibacterial for a median time of 30 seconds, each one showed that the alcohol-based hand washes reduced bacterial contamination 26% more than the antibacterial. But liquid soap and water is the more effective than alcohol-based hand rubs for reducing H1N1 influenza A virus and Clostridium diffcile spores from hands. Liquid hand soap contains anionic surfactant, cocamide dea surfactant, coco betaine as amphoteric surfactant, opaque agent as making opaque, dye, fragrance, glycerine for prevention hand outside conditions and etc. In addition, antibacterial agent for making antibacterial hand liquid soap. Making hand liquid soap for children, can be used soft ingredients. For making natural liquid hand soap as opaque or clear not changing. used natural and herbal oil, potassium hydroxide, water, glycerine, dye and fragrance. These ingredients are used to make saponification for hand liquid soap as natural. One of the best ways to prevent infection from the coronavirus is to avoid being exposed to the virus and stop it from entering in the body. Some of the easiest ways to become infected by a virus is to transfer it from hands to mouth, nose or eyes. Washing hands using hand wash or soap has a dual effect, it primarily washes the virus away from body. It also disrupts the virus so it cannot bind and infect cells. The coronavirus (COVID-19) belong to the family of enveloped viruses. The “envelop” is like a jacket made up of lipids and proteins and protects the virus from the environment and helps it to enter human cells such as lung cells. Liquid hand wash, soaps, detergents and alcohol-based hand sanitizers disrupt the envelop resulting in the inactivation of these types of viruses. The global liquid soap market size was estimated at USD 18.50 billion in 2018. Rising awareness regarding personal hygiene among adults is expected to remain a key driving factor for the market. These liquid formulations are expected to gain popularity as they have low pH levels which make them gentler and suitable for people with sensitive skin. This factor is anticipated to contribute to the widespread adoption of the product in near future. Global Hand Soap market is forecast to witness rapid growth of around 6.7% over the forecast period of 2020-2030. Of all applications, the household segment accounts for more than 70% of the market share. Escalating demand for hand soap was observed in the first quarter of 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2nd quarter, the demand is projected to follow an upward trend with increasing awareness about hand hygiene across regions. The key market players include Reckitt Benckiser Group plc.; Procter & Gamble; Unilever; 3M; Lion Corporation; GOJO Industries, Inc.; Kao Chemicals; Godrej Consumer Products; Bluemoon Bodycare; NEW AVON LLC.; and Pental Products etc.

E-Waste Recycling Plant

Electronic wastes, "e-waste", "e-scrap", or "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE") is a description of surplus, obsolete, broken or discarded electrical or electronic devices. Technically, electronic "waste" is the component which is dumped or disposed or discarded rather than recycled, including residue from reuse and recycling operations. Because loads of surplus electronics are frequently coming led (good, recyclable, and non-recyclable), several public policy advocates apply the term "e-waste" broadly to all surplus electronics. Electronic Waste – or e-waste – is the term used to describe old, end-of-life electronic appliances such as computers, laptops, TVs, DVD players, mobile phones, mp3 players etc. which have been disposed of by their original users. While there is no generally accepted definition of e-waste, in most cases, e-waste comprises of relatively expensive and essentially durable products used for data processing, telecommunications or entertainment in private households and businesses. The rising levels of e-waste generation in India have been a matter of concern in recent years. With more than 100 crore mobile phones in circulation, nearly 25 per cent end up in e-waste annually.“India has surely emerged as the second largest mobile market with 1.03 billion subscribers, but also the fifth largest producer of e-waste in the world, discarding roughly 18.5 lakh metric tonnes of electronic waste each year, with telecom equipment alone accounting for 12 per cent of the e-waste’’. The fastest growing sources of waste and is estimated to be increasing by 16-28 per cent every five years. Within each sector a complex set of heterogeneous secondary wastes is created. Although treatment requirements are complicated, the sources from any one sector possess many common characteristics. However, there exist huge variations in the nature of electronic wastes between sectors, and treatment regimes appropriate for one cannot be readily transferred to another. E-Waste or Electronic Waste broadly describes loosely discarded, surplus, broken, obsolete, electrical and electronic devices. E-Waste is an area of immediate and long-term concern as its unregulated accumulation and recycling can lead to major environmental degradation which will pose a major threat to human health. Revolution of IT, new and innovative technologies and globalization of economy have made new electronic products available and affordable. But on the other hand, it has also led to unrestrained resource consumption and E-Waste generation. Electronic waste (e-waste) typically includes discarded computer monitors, motherboards, mobile phones and chargers, compact discs, headphones, television sets, air conditioners and refrigerators. According to the Global E-Waste Monitor 2017, India generates about 2 million tonnes (MT) of e-waste annually and ranks fifth among e-waste producing countries, after the US, China, Japan and Germany. In 2016-17, India treated only 0.036 MT of its e-waste. About 95 per cent of India’s e-waste is recycled in the informal sector and in a crude manner. Only 20 per cent of global e-waste is recycled. The market in Asia-Pacific has been categorized as China, Japan, India, and the rest of Asia-Pacific. The market in Asia-Pacific is expected to register the highest CAGR of 15.25% during the forecast period. Japan is expected to be a leading country-level market and is expected to register a 12.75% CAGR. India is expected to be the fastest-growing country-level market, expected to register the highest CAGR over the next few years. This is due to the growing population in the region. Also, growing awareness of e-waste recycling and government initiatives are the major factors for the growth of the market. India is emerging as one of the world's major electronic waste generators, posing grave concerns to public health and environment alike.Industry body Assocham, said India’s ‘production’ of e-waste is likely to increase by nearly three times, from the existing 18 lakh metric tons (MT) to 52 lakh MT) per annum by 2020 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 30%.The Global Electronic Waste Recycling Market is expected to expand at 13.03% CAGR to reach a market value of 39,498.81 Million in 2024. A mere 1.5% of India's total e-waste gets recycled due to poor infrastructure, legislation and framework which leads to a waste of diminishing natural resources, irreparable damage of environment and health of the people working in industry. Over 95% of e-waste generated is managed by the unorganized sector and scrap dealers in this market, dismantle the disposed products instead of recycling it. Bamboo Fabric

Bamboo fabric is similar to the softness of silk. Since the fibres are without chemical treatment, they are naturally smoother and rounder with no sharp spurs to irritate the skin, making bamboo fabric hypoallergenic and perfect for those who experience allergic reactions to other natural fibres such as wool or hemp. On that same note, bamboo is also antibacterial and anti fungal. This is because bamboo possesses an anti-bacteria and bacteriostatic bio-agent called "Bamboo Kun", allowing it to naturally flourish and grow in the wild without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. This beneficial quality of the plant remains in its textile form, killing all bacteria keeping the wearer feeling fresher and odour free for longer, making the garment healthier and more hygienic. As bamboo fabric is gaining popularity in the fashion industry, there will naturally be an increase in growth and demand for more bamboo plants. This could ultimately lead to an increased amount of photosynthesis and result in another alternative to combating greenhouse gases. India’s textiles sector is one of the oldest industries in Indian economy dating back several centuries. India’s textile and apparel exports stood at US$ 38.70 billion in FY19 and is expected to increase to US$ 82.00 billion by 2021 from US$ 22.95 billion in FY20 (up to November 2019). Hot Melt Adhesives (For Book binding, Packaging and Courier bag)

An adhesive is generally characterized as a material capable of bonding separate articles together by adhering to the surfaces of both articles. The selection of an adhesive bonding agent for a particular use is governed by the chemical and physical properties of the adhesive bonding agent composition and the chemical and physical properties of the surfaces of the articles to be bonded. Some of the chemical and physical properties to be considered when an adhesive binding agent is selected are: 1. The affinity of the surfaces to be bonded to the adhesive bonding agent. 2. The ability to the adhesive bonding agent to adequately wet surface to be bonded. 3. The ability of the adhesive bonding agent to be placed in intimate contact with the surface to be bonded. 4. The cohesive strength of the adhesive bonding agent itself. 5. The chemical reactivity of the adhesive agent with the surface to be bonded. Melt adhesives are bonding agents which achieve a solid state and resultant strength by cooling as contrasted with other adhesives which achieve the solid state through evaporation or removal of solvents. Prior heating, a hot-melt adhesive is a thermoplastic, 100 percent solid material, all adhesive. Application of heat brings the material to the liquid state, and after removal of the heat, it sets by simple cooling. Hot Melt Adhesives be defined as adhesives that melt and flow on application of heat and solidifies on cooling to give a strong adhesion. Hot melt adhesives are solvent-free, solvent-free, solid compounds that have negligible or no VOC (volatile organic compound) compared to solvent-based adhesives. The global market for hot melt adhesives is gaining significant impetus from the rise in the trading activities, leading to a high demand for packaging. The increasing construction activities across the world is also fueling the need for hot melt adhesives substantially.
