Catenary Wires and Conductors used in Railway Electrification

Catenary wire (also called a messenger wire) has closely spaced drops which support the actual contact wire. The messenger (or catenary) wire needs to be both strong and have good conductivity. They used multi-strand wires (or cables) with 19 strands in each cable (or wire). Copper, aluminium, and/or steel were used for the strands. All the 19 strands could be of the same metal or some strands could be of steel for strength with the remaining strands of aluminium or copper for conductivity. Another type looked like it had all copper wires but inside each wire was a steel core for strength. The steel strands were galvanized but for better corrosion protection they could be coated with an anti-corrosion substance. The Catenary wire comprises 19 strands of cadmium copper, each strand of 2.10 mm dia, with overall dia of 10.5 mm having about 80% conductivity and 65 sq. mm cross-sectional area. The contact wire is a solid hard drawn grooved electrolytic. Copper of 12.24 mm dia and 107 sq. mm cross-sectional area. The total current carrying capacity of both wires is 600 Amps. Dairy Farming & Dairy Products (Milk, Butter, Ghee & Paneer)

Dairy farming has been part of agriculture for thousands of years, but historically, it was usually done on a small scale on mixed farms. Specialist scale dairy farming is only viable where either a large amount of milk is required for production of more durable dairy products such as cheese, or there is a substantial market of people with cash to buy milk, but no cows of their own. Centralized dairy farming as we understand it primarily developed around villages and cities, where residents were unable to have cows of their own due to lack of grazing land. Near the town, farmers could make some extra money on the side by having additional animals and selling the milk in town. Dairy farming is a class of agriculture for long-term production of milk, which is processed for eventual sale of a dairy product. Dairying is an important source of subsidiary income to small/marginal farmers and agricultural laborers. India derives nearly 33% of the gross Domestic population from agriculture and has 66% of economically active population, engaged in agriculture. The share of livestock product is estimated at 21% of total agriculture sector. Milk production alone involves more than 70 million producers, each raising one or two cows/buffaloes primarily for milk production. In addition to milk, the manure from animals provides a good source of organic matter for improving soil fertility and crop yields. The gobar gas from the dung is used as fuel for domestic purposes as also for running engines for drawing water from well.In Hinduism; cow urine has a special significance as a drink. Sprinkling of cow urine is said to have a spiritual cleansing effect as well. Gomutra is not a toxic waste material. 95% of it is water, 2.5% consists of urea, and the remaining 2.5% is a mixture of minerals, salts, hormones and enzymes. As of 2018, India is the leading milk producing country in the world, accounting for ~19% of the global market share. The milk processing industry in India is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of ~14.8% between FY 2018 and FY 2023, and will reach INR 2,458.7 Bn in FY 2023. Being one of the primary dairy consumables in India, the increase demand for milk in the country is owed to the increasing population. As of FY 2018, ~81.1% of the Indian dairy and milk processing market was part of the unorganized sector, which produces milk in unhygienic environments. This reduces the overall quality and nutrition levels of the milk produced. India has the highest livestock population in the world with 50% of the buffaloes and 20% of the world’s cattle population, most of which are milch cows and milch buffaloes. India’s dairy industry is considered as one of the most successful development programs in the post-Independence period. India is the world’s largest milk producer, accounting for more than 13% of world’s total milk production. As it is the world’s largest consumer of dairy products, but consuming almost 100% of its own milk production. Dairy products are a major source of cheap and nutritious food to millions of people in India and the only acceptable source of animal protein for large vegetarian segment of Indian population, particularly among the landless, small and marginal farmers and women. In India, about three-fourth of the population live in rural areas and about 38% of them are poor. A specific Indian phenomenon is the unorganized sector of milkmen, vendors who collect the milk from local producers and sell the milk in both, urban and rural areas, which handles around 65-70% of the national milk production. However, it opens a new gate for the dairy farmer to directly reach to the consumer or to shorten the distance between the consumer and producer, leading to higher rates for the product milk. While, in the organized dairy industry, the cooperative milk processors have a 60% market share. The cooperative dairies process 90% of the collected milk as liquid milk whereas the private dairies process and sell only 20% of the milk collected as liquid milk and 80% for other dairy products with a focus on value-added products. In the present situation of world market, the milk and dairy market landscape is a dynamic entity within the food industry new opportunities in emerging markets, increasing globalization, changes in consumer demand, nutritional policy and the regulatory environment are among top issues facing the industry. This will lead to increase of India`s share in the world milk production from the current 16 per cent to 21 per cent in 2020. The core of the dairy industry lies with the milk producing farmer, who gets affected by many factors ranging from fuel and agricultural input prices to government`s foreign policy. The global dairy products market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.2% from 2019 to reach $645.8 billion by 2025. Dairy is defined as a business enterprise that deals with the processing and harvesting of animal milk for human consumption. Some of the common milch animals include cow, goat, buffalo, camel and sheep. The milk obtained from these animals can be consumed directly and processed into ice cream, cheese, paneer, butter, ghee, condensed milk and yogurt. These products offer various nutrients such as calcium, proteins, zinc, magnesium, and vitamin D and B12. With widespread demand for dairy products and their proactive function in the global food industry, dairy plays a crucial role in the growth of the economies worldwide. Over the years, the dairy industry has witnessed improvements in product safety through specialization, modernization and consolidation. Needles for Sewing and Embroidery Machine

A sewing needle, used for hand-sewing, is a long slender tool with a pointed tip at one end and a hole (or eye) at the other. The earliest needles were made of bone or wood; modern needles are manufactured from high carbon steel wire and are nickel- or 18K gold-plated for corrosion resistance. High quality embroidery needles are plated with two-thirds platinum and one-third titanium alloy. Traditionally, needles have been kept in needle books or needle cases which have become objects of adornment. Needles are offered in a wide range of sizes and the selection of needle size is based on the combination of fabric and sewing thread which is to be sewn. If the selected sewing needle is too small for the sewing thread size, the thread will not fit well into the long groove of the needle and will suffer from extreme abrasion. The use of too fine a needle while sewing heavy plies of fabric could lead to the deflection of the needle, which could influence the stitch loop pick up and cause slipped stitches or even needle breakage. Use of a larger sewing needle for the particular sewing thread resulted in poor control of the loop formation which could lead to slipped stitches. The primary reason to buy household sewing machines by end users is to enable saving on professional and labour fee on petty stitch works and also creation of custom embroidery, clothing articles. Also, growing preference for embroidery-based clothing and customization of fabric in recent commercial fashion design sector is also expected to impact the growth of household sewing machines market. The household sewing machines market in general is expected to sustain its notable presence and witness a healthy growth owing to perennial demand generating demographics consisting of female population in the globe. The global sewing machines market is projected to grow at the rate of 4.1% during the forecast period, 2018 to 2023. The large scale adoption of these automated sewing machines for most apparel and non-apparel manufacturing contributes to the growth of the sewing machine market. Supporting government policies in emerging policies, like China and India, influence textile manufacturers to adopt the latest technologies and expand their manufacturing sites, is expected to increase the demand for industrial sewing machines. However, strong presence of unorganized players and uncertainty in raw material costs are restraining the growth of sewing machines market. The future of the textile industry in India has a positive outlook and is mirrored by increasingly strong consumption rates in the domestic market as well as the growing demand for exports. Moreover, the industry has earned a unique place in the economy due to its strong future outlook, numerous employment opportunities it has generated and the strong export numbers it has generated. Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing region in the global sewing machines market. China, Japan, Australia, India, and Indonesia are the top contributing countries in the region. Arabic Gum

Gum Arabic, also known as Gum Acacia, is a natural gum harvested from the exterior of Acacia trees in the form of dry, hard nodules up to 50 mm in diameter, and ranging from almost colorless to brown. Its unique properties endow it with a wide range of uses in food, beverage, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. Gum Arabic is made from an exudates from the Acacia Senegal and Acacia seyal trees, it is a water soluble gum and soluble in cold water and will increase in solubility by heating. Fortunately, of all the natural gums, only gum Arabic is soluble (can be dissolved) enough in water to make spray-drying an economical and desirous option. A gum is produced by making an incision in the bark of the tree and collecting the exudates repeatedly throughout the season. Gums so obtained consist of small lumps, usually transparent and light yellow. Trees produce gums by a process called gummosis, possibly as a protective mechanism, either after mechanical damage to the bark or after a bacterial, insect, or fungal attack upon it. The Acacia Senegal tree yields the greatest amount of gum acacia when it is in an unhealthy condition, and good culture methods reduce the yield. The name gum Arabic is sometimes also applied to substitutes for gum acacia, including gum gatti, collected in India. The growth of the global market is driven by the rising income levels, multiple functionalities of gum Arabic in the food & beverages industry, and the rising awareness regarding the medicinal benefits of gum Arabic. Global Industry Analysis and Forecast, 2017-2025,” indicate that the market, which is presently worth nearly US$ 300 Mn, will expand steadily at 5.4% CAGR. Gum arabic has several value-added benefits over gelatin, starch, and other additives used in drinks as it has proven to be a better stabilizing and emulsifying agent. Beverage manufacturers and makers of edible flavors, syrups, and concentrates have been increasingly using gum Arabic as a functional ingredient in soft drinks, smoothies, fruit-flavored water and beverages, and various soft-alcoholic drinks. Ply Board from Poplar & Eucalyptus Wooden Logs

Ply Board is wooden made board or wooden like raw materials largely used for making ply board. There is large use of ply board nowadays in making wooden base furniture. Poplar and Eucalyptus Wooden Logs can be used for making ply board. Plywood is a building material consisting of veneers (thin wood layers or plies) bonded with an adhesive. There are two types of plywood: softwood plywood and hardwood plywood. Softwoods generally correspond to coniferous species. The most commonly used softwoods for manufacturing plywood are firs and pines. Hardwood plywood is made of hardwood veneers bonded with an adhesive. The outer layers (face and back) surround a core which is usually lumber, particleboard, or medium density fiberboard. Hardwood plywood may be pressed into panels or plywood components (e.g., curved hardwood plywood, seat backs, chair arms, etc.). Poplar wood is a species of wood most commonly used in the making of furniture, cabinets, wooden toys, plywood, etc. It is considered a hardwood, but is just about as easy to work with as pine boards or other soft woods. Poplar is a popular choice for interior work and is something that is always stocked throughout all of Builder locations. Poplar boards are white/ivory in tone with green or brown streaks running through the heartwood of the board. In addition, the wood is straight grained and uniform in texture. It has a medium density which allows paints and glues to adhere very well. Indian particle board and plywood industry dates back to the First World War. It has come a long way having grown nearly six-fold since its inception. The large producers account for 15% of the total production, producing some 38 mn sqm of plywood and blackboards. The ecological considerations had, however, placed the industry in jeopardy owing primarily to the restraints put on the use of timber. Alternate materials in form of agricultural wastes like stalks of cotton and wheat, rice husk and bagasse are slowly getting into the industry as raw material feeds. The Indian market for particle board and plywood is estimated in value terms, at over Rs 37 bn. Of the total market, particle board including medium density fiberboard (MDF board) accounts for nearly a quarter of the market. Nearly 85% of the particle board is supplied by the organized sector. Western India has emerged as the leader in the particle board segment. The Indian plywood market size reached US$ 4.5 Billion in 2019 and current Indian plywood market reached a value of INR 222.5 Billion in 2020. Plywood is manufactured by assembling thin layers of wood veneers bonded together using powerful adhesives. Global Plywood Industry reach 5 Billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 7.9% over the period 2020-2027. Cross-linking starch results in a product that can be used to produce noodle, salad cream, or custard. This product is often made with corn and potato starch, but cassava, which is readily available and inexpensive, can be utilised to meet the needs of the people. Cassava (ManihotesculentaCrantz), also known as yucca in Central America, mandioca or manioca in Brazil, tapioca in India and Malaysia, and cassada or cassava in Africa and Southeast Asia 39, 40, is a lowland tropics starchy staple and a major source of food support for some of the world's poorest countries 39, 40. MAIZE STARCH: Maize starch is a corn starch that is extracted from the grain (maize). The starch is taken from the endosperm of the kernel. Corn starch is a common food additive that thickens sauces and soups, as well as being used to make corn syrup and other sugars. TACCA STARCH (TACCA LEONTOPETALOIDES): Tacca starch is derived from the rhizomes of the Taccaceae plant Taccaleontopetaloides. In the humid tropics of Asia, Australia, and the Pacific islands, the genus Tacca contains about 30 species of perennial herbs with tuberous or creeping rhizomes. The tubers contain a 22.40 percent dry matter content and a 10.22 percent starch content. Increased use of starch in the production of biodegradable plastic and food items, as well as its additions in bakeries, snacks, drinks, and functional meals, as well as rising demand in various non-food applications, is driving the Industrial Starch Market. In a number of meals, starch and its derivatives are used as thickeners, stabilisers, sizing agents, fat replacers, and binding agents. The global modified starch market is anticipated to be valued USD 13.1 billion in 2020, growing to USD 14.9 billion by 2025, indicating a 2.7 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Because of its expanded use in a wide range of meals, as well as the cost-effectiveness and enhanced functionalities it provides over native starch, it is experiencing significant expansion.
