Hot Dip Galvanizing

Hot Dip Galvanizing is a process in which an adherent, protective coating of zinc and zinc compounds is developed on the surfaces of iron and steel products by immersing them in a bath of molten zinc. Hot dipping is a process in which a metal substrate is immersed in a molten bath of a second metal. After removal, the second metal is coated into the first. It is essential to have higher melting temperature of first metal than the second. The most common substrate metals are steel and iron and the common coating materials are zinc, aluminium, tin and lead. Prior to coating, cleaning of rust, scale, oil, paint and other surface contaminants is required. For coating process, immersion in the molten metal is done for periods ranging from a fraction of a minute for small objects like fasteners to several minutes for large scale structures. Temperature of approximately 450°C and 700°C need to be maintained (bath temperature) for galvanizing (zinc coating) and aluminium coating respectively. Steel manufacturing output of India is expected to increase from 88.4 million tons (MT) in 2017 to 128.6 MT by 2021, accelerating the country’s share of global steel production from 5.4% in 2017 to 7.7% by 2021. India is the second-largest crude steel producer in the world. In FY17, India produced 111.254 million tons (MT) of finished steel. Total finished steel production in the country increased at a CAGR of 8.39 per cent over FY12-17. Crude Steel and Finished Steel production during April-October 2017 stood at 66.70 MT and 76.36 MT, respectively. Driven by rising infrastructure development and growing demand for automotives, steel consumption is expected to reach 104 MT by 2017. Bio-Plastic Products(GLASSES, PLATES AND BAGS)

Plastics have become an important part of modern life and are used in different sectors of applications like packaging, building materials, consumer products and much more. Biodegradable plastics are mainly derived from corn, wheat and potato starch. Biodegradable plastics products are thermoplastic materials which are processed with the same machines traditionally used to process conventional plastics. Biodegradable shopping bags are made of polymers that degrade, or decompose, when exposed to air, water, or sunlight. Currently, CU Dining Services is promoting their use of biodegradable bags from Grab-n-Go’s. The bio-plastic sheets are generally made from starch based polymers. The sheets can be processed into plates and glasses using the conventional method. Bioplastics in India are still at a very nascent stage with only two participants operating in this segment. As compared to the European market, where bioplastic products are commercially available, the Indian bioplastics industry has a long way to go in terms of production, raw materials, and technology. Though there is an increasing interest in the bioplastics in India, factors such as lack of environmental concern, price, and regulation are the key issues affecting the growth of this segment. The global bio plastics market was 19.54 billion USD in 2016 and is estimated to reach US$ 65.58 billion in 2022 at an estimated CAGR of 22.36% for the forecasted period.

Pre-Stressed Concrete Electric Poles

PSC poles stands for pre-stressed concrete. These are highly durable and strong PSC Poles fabricated from excellent quality concrete material. These poles are used extensively in electrical industry, for establishing electrical connections and fittings. Pre-stressing is generally a way to overcome concrete weakness in tension. Generally, the concrete undergoes compression on top flange and tension at bottom flange. The unique characteristics of pre-stressed concrete allow predetermined, engineering stresses to be placed in members to counteract stresses that occur when the unit is subjected to service loads. The demand for prestressed (Pre-cast/Reinforced) concrete-cement (PCC) poles directly depends on the growth of electric power sector, because these poles are solely meant for overhead transmission and distribution of power to consumer units. The Government of India is taking a number of steps and initiatives like 10-year tax exemption for solar energy projects, etc., in order to achieve India's ambitious renewable energy targets of adding 175 GW of renewable energy, including addition of 100 GW of solar power, by the year 2022. Masala Powder and Chilli Powder

A masala can either be a combination of dried (and usually dry roasted) spices, or a paste (such as vindaloo masala) made from a mixture of spices and other ingredients—often garlic, ginger, onions and chili paste. Spices are non-leafy parts (e.g. bud, fruit, seed, bark, rhizome, and bulb) of plants used as a flavoring or seasoning, although many can also be used as an herbal medicine. Spices are, the dried parts of aromatic plant-the seeds, powers, leaves, bark or root although a few are used fresh. But there is something evocative about spices that go way beyond their culinary or medicinal uses. Red Chilli, considered a native of South America, is an indispensable spice in the food habits of most people in the world. The colour and pungency differentiates chillies from other spices. India, known as the home of spices, boasts a long history of trading with the ancient civilizations of Rome and China. Today, Indian spices are the most sought-after globally, given their exquisite aroma, texture, taste and medicinal value. India has the largest domestic market for spices in the world. Plastic Waste Pyrolysis (Plastic to Oil Conversion)

Pyrolysis is the chemical decomposition of organic substances by heating the word is originally coined from the Greek-derived elements pyro "fire" and lysys "decomposition". Pyrolysis is usually the first chemical reaction that occurs in the burning of many solid organic fuels, cloth, like wood, and paper, and also of some kinds of plastic. Anhydrous Pyrolysis process can also be used to produce liquid fuel similar to diesel from plastic waste. Increasing industrialization and motorization has lead to a significant rise in demand of petroleum products. As these are the nonrenewable resources it is difficult to predict availability of these resources in future, resulting uncertainty in its supply and price and is impacting growing economies like India. Many alternate fuels like Alcohols, Biodiesel, LPG, CNG etc have been already commercialized in the transport sector. Recent developments in recycled plastic and plastic waste to oil market indicate that policymakers and energy industry players in various regions, particularly in North America and Europe, are focusing on the commercialization of the technology.
