Oxygen and Nitrogen Gas Plant - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Oxygen and nitrogen are the most important industrial gases finding its application in large quantities in metal fabrication and cutting industries. It is used in electric arc steel furnaces for decarbonisation and scrap matting. Oxygen is also used in medical treatment and for breathing at high altitude flying. Some quantities of liquid oxygen are used in explosives, chemicals and petrochemicals industries as an oxidizing and catalytic agent. As the quantity of oxygen required in integrated steel plants is huge, the excess of oxygen is compressed and bottled in steel cylinders and supplied to engineering industries such as manufacture of machine tools, industrial machinery, automobiles and component manufacturers, fabricators of chemical plants, storage tanks, and furniture and building elements. Nitrogen gas is used in the production of ammonia which in turn is used for the manufacture of urea and ammonium phosphate, which are fertilizers of great use. Nitrogen gas is used for blanketing hazardous chemicals which is an inert atmosphere. Nitrogen gas is used for purging purposes. Nitrogen gas is used for the purification of other gases with extremely low boiling points, such as hydrogen scrubbing. High purity nitrogen is used in strip steel annealing prior to tin plating. Human blood and cattle sperm cells are pressured by using nitrogen liquid freezing method. Large quantities of liquid nitrogen are employed in the preservation of food by rapid freezing. Liquid nitrogen is also used to maintain low temperatures during the transportation of frozen food. The demand of oxygen and nitrogen gas will increase in future, so new entrepreneurs may venture into this project

Good Future Prospects for E-WASTE RECYCLING PLANT (Electronic waste, e-waste, e-scrap, or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)) - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey

Electronic waste, e-waste, e-scrap, or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is a loose category of surplus, obsolete, broken, or discarded electrical or electronic devices. The processing of electronic waste in developing countries is causeing serious health and pollution problems due to lack of containment, as do unprotected landfilling (due to leaching) and incineration. The Basel Convention and regulation by the European Union and United States aim to reduce these problems. Reuse and recycling of these e-waste are promoted as alternatives to disposal as trash. There was unanimity that electronic waste containing substances like lead, cadmium, mercury, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) have immense potential to cause enormous harm to human health and environment, if not disposed properly since the exact prescriptions for its disposal and safeguard were inadequate. Thus, the imperative need for early formulation of a holistic E-waste legislation which will eventually lead to enabling policy. It was consequently agreed that such a policy must appropriately reflect the concerns of various stakeholders, besides the views of practitioners both in the organized and unorganized sector. European countries have taken a systematic step towards the handling disposal and recycling of e-waste. There are several plants established for this particular purpose where large amount of electronic waste are recycled using the best technologies. A new trend in recycling is reuse of these waste contents. Apart from these new technologies; screening, reuse, granulating, refining, conditioning are also important processes in recycling. Today, the electronic waste recycling business, in all areas of the developed world has become a large and rapidly consolidating business. The electronic waste processing systems have matured in recent years, following increased regulatory, public and commercial scrutiny, and with a commensurate increase in entrepreneurial interest. Part of this evolution have involved greater diversion of electronic waste from energy-intensive down cycling processes (e.g., conventional recycling), where equipment is reverted to a raw material form. This diversion is achieved through reuse and refurbishing. The environmental and social benefits of reuse include diminished demand for new products and virgin raw materials (with their own environmental issues), larger quantities of pure water and electricity for associated manufacturing, less packaging per unit, availability of technology to wider swaths of society due to greater affordability of products; and diminished use of landfills. Audiovisual components, televisions, VCRs, stereo equipment, mobile phones, other handheld devices, and computer components contain valuable elements and substances suitable for reclaimation, including lead, copper, and gold. Mostly employed in traditional e-waste disposal methods, this process refers to converting all the e-waste fractions into reusable components. Secondary raw materials are also extracted from these waste contents. Manual dismantling signifies process of electronic items and tools being dismantled in an orderly sequence. Once dismantling is done, manual sorting of different e waste is completed in separate categories like metals, batteries, printed wiring boards, plastics, woods, cathode ray tubes, condensers, LCDs and cables etc. These different elements are then processed through refining and conditioning steps. There is an estimate that the total obsolete computers originating from government offices, business houses, industries and household is of the order of 2 million . Manufactures and assemblers in a single calendar year, estimated to produce around 1200 tons of electronic scrap. It should be noted that obsolence rate of personal computers (PC) is one in every two years. The consumers finds it convenient to buy a new computer rather than upgrade the old one due to the changing configuration, technology and the attractive offers of the manufacturers. Due to the lack of governmental legislations on e-waste, standards for disposal, proper mechanism for handling these toxic hi-tech products, mostly end up in landfills or partly recycled in a unhygienic conditions and partly thrown into waste streams. Computer waste is generated from the individual households, government, both public and private sectors, computer retailers, manufacturers, foreign embassies, secondary markets of old PCs.etc. Of these, the biggest source of PC scrap are foreign countries that export huge computer waste in the form of reusable components. With the extensive use of computers and electronic equipments, people are dumping old electronic goods for new ones, the amount of E-Waste generated has been steadily increasing. At present Bangalore alone generates about 8000 tonnes of computer waste annually and in the absence of proper disposal, they find their way to scrap dealers. Electronic waste or e-waste is one of the rapidly growing environmental problems of the world. In India, the electronic waste management assumes greater significance not only due to the generation of our own waste but also dumping of e-waste i.e computer waste from the developed countries. The scope for e-waste recycling project is very good. New entrepreneurs venturing into this field will be successful

Think of a water jet as something with about 30 times the pressure of power washer wand at your local car wash. Power washing at car washes in an every day example of dirt film being cut off the body, wheels and tires of automobile. The key to cutting metal with water is to deep the spray coherent water jet are able to cut because the spray is channeled through a narrow jeweled nozzle at a very high pressure to keep the spray coherent unlike metal cutters, a water jet never gets dull and it cannot overheat. In the past only one piece of metal could be cut at a time with a saw or other metal cutting mechanical process. It was time intensive and expensive computer controlled water jet and abrasive jet cutting are used today industry to cut many soft and hard materials. A water jet can cut sand which of different materials up to four inches thick. This is odorless dust free and relatively heat-free process. Water jet technology can be utilized to cut the following material, plastic, foam, nylon, ceramics, paper and card board etc. water jet produce disposal. In coming years metal fabrication unit based on water jet cutting machine will increase, so there is wide scope for new entrepreneurs to venture into this field.

COCONUT BASED HAIR OIL - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities, Cost and Revenue

Personal care products have maintained divergent growth trends. Brand consciousness is on the increase and the expanded disposable incomes are escalating the appetite for these products. With a complete redirection of living styles in the country, engined by the access of millions to the TV media and advertising and inspired by the economic processes of globalization, the personal care industry is opening up new vistas. The growth in the market has been stimulated also by the product range, the new and elegant packaging, transformation in social values and reduction in duties - both customs and excise. The increase in the number of working women is leading to higher disposable incomes commanded by them, which is attracting consumer spending. In fact, the presence in offices and institutions demands use of better clothing and cosmetics. Consumers are also becoming quality conscious. They do not have time for frequent acquisitions and replenishments. A major change in consumer psycho graphics has been in evidence: the consumer is increasingly perceiving the personal care products not as accessories of luxury or status symbols of the affluent but as essentials with a high degree of relevance to personal health and welfare. The change is aided and abetted by the glare and penetration of the global brands which are looking forward to the burgeoning Indian consumer market. The urban markets are growing slowly by volume but are maintaining reassuring growth by value as a result of product upgradation and corresponding increase in prices. In the personal care segment, markets are characterized by brand loyalty and high voltage promotion programmes. In sectors which are already established like the talcum powder, soaps and toothpastes, the promotion costs are relatively high. In the rural areas, gradual shifts in the consumption patterns are emerging. Upgradation of product use is being witnessed. Cow dung to ward off mosquitoes is now being replaced by repellent coils and mats. Local and unbranded products are getting replaced by national brands and low priced products by higher priced products. Few Indian Major Players in Hair Oil Industry are as under: Ajanta India Ltd. PACKAGED DRINKING WATER, SODA WATER AND PET BOTTLES - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study,Cost of Project

Bottled water industry, colloquially called, the mineral water industry, is a symbol of new life style emerging in India. While a large segment of the population is struggling to get access to potable water supply, a new generation - especially in the urban areas - is getting accustomed to bottled water paying handsome prices. The phenomenal increase in demand for bottled water from just 2.0 mn cases in 1990-91 to 68 mn cases presently was being boosted further by the concern and need for safe drinking water. What is amazing is that people are prepared to pay Rs 10 for a litre of simple water - especially when the cost of material input is negligible. The cost of packaging can be as high as 15% to 35% of the price of the product. The bottled water market is growing at a rapid rate of around 20% a year (down from 50 to 60%). At this growth rate, the Rs 7000 mn per year market is estimated to overtake the soft drinks market soon. Multinationals, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Nestle and others are trying to grab a significant share of the market. There are more than 180 brands in the unorganised sector. The small players account for nearly 19% of the total market. Nevertheless, per capita consumption of bottled water in India is less than half a litre per year, compared to 111 litres in France and 45 litres in the US. This points to the future potential beyond the high growth. The premium bottled water market in India has brands like Evian, San Pelligrino, Perrier, priced between Rs 80 and Rs 110 per litre. The other segment is essentially purified water priced low at about Rs 10 a litre. It is crowded with numerous brands like Bisleri, Kinley, Aquafina, Himalaya, Hello. The government decided towards end of the year 2000 to bring about stringent guidelines for packaged water. All companies were made to sell their products only under the BIS (Bureau of Industrial Standards) certification mark. The BIS certification was made mandatory for the segment from April 1, 2001. The bottled water is to be classified as "food" and has been brought under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act. They would have to adhere to rules pertaining to colour, odour, taste, turbidity, total dissolved solids and aerobic microbial count. Soda water is nothing but mixture of purged carbon dioxide at above atmospheric pressure in certain packaged material. It may be PET or glass bottle. Introduction of PET bottle is modern plastic packaging material. It is eco-plastic which can be converted to clay. All the three projects in a single unit have good scope. CANNED FOODS CHOPPED TOMATOES, CHEEKED BEANS AND MUSHROOMS - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study

Most bacteria, yeasts and molds are difficult to remove from food surfaces. Washing fresh food reduces their numbers only slightly. Peeling root crops, underground stem crops, and tomatoes reduces their numbers greatly. Blanching also helps, but the vital controls are the method of canning and making sure the recommended research-based process times, are used. There are few vegetables that better mark the sweet juiciness of vine-ripened tomato. Tomatoes have fleshy internal segments filled with slippery seeds surrounded by a watery matrix. The healthy good looks of a fresh, red ripe tomato are not just skin deep. The tomatoes, for canning, should be moderately large, with a smooth surface to enable easy peeling, evenly ripened to the stem end with a red colour, and posses a large proportion of solid matter of good colour & flavour. Mushroom is an excellent source of protein, in addition to having a delicious taste. Hence, considerable advancement has been made in the cultivation, harvesting, storage, transportation, and market distribution of mushroom, besides developments in its processing. In India, mushroom is canned for the purpose of export. The domestic market is also picking up gradually. Mushroom is canned in the form of buttons, slices, stems and pieces; or as chopped, diced or fine cuts. Bean is highly variable species with a long history. Beans are a legume and thus acquire their nitrogen through an association with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The beans are smooth, plump, kidney-shaped, up to 1.5 cm long, range widely in color, and are often mottled in two or more colors. There is good export as well as domestic prospects for the canned foods. New entrepreneur enter in this project will be successful. Few Indian Major Players are as under: Agro Dutch Inds. Ltd. ANTISCALING/DESCALING FORMING CHEMICALS - Manufacturing Plant, Detailed Project Report, Profile, Business Plan, Industry Trends, Market Research, Survey, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, Raw Materials, Feasibility Study, Investment Opportunities

Water has been called the universal solvent, because it dissolves many substances. It never occurs in nature in a pure state, because ground water picks up impurities as it seeps through rock strata. Surface water contains organic matter and insoluble suspended matter such as sand and silt. Even rain picks up oxygen and carbon dioxide as it falls to earth. When water is turned into steam, the minerals previously dissolved in the water are left behind and deposit a scale on the surface equipments like boilers and evaporators. Since water is key ingredient used in a boiler system, it is important to understand just exactly what is in the water you will be using. This scale, mostly calcium and magnesium is an excellent insulator and slows the transfer of heat to the water. Boiler failure occurs when scale is allowed to accumulate steel retains its strength up to 7000 F, and it starts to weaken above that point. At 10000 F it has a hard time supporting its own weight. Start adding insulation such as scale between the metal and water, and the metal temperature increases. With enough scale, the metal will overheat causing blisters, bags and eventually a ruptured pressure part. Scale can also increase the fuel consumption in boilers. Water hardness becomes an issue as soon as heat is applied in the boiler system. The most common problem is that of scale formation, a problem that will rob your system of the efficiency it was designed to deliver. Descaling and antiscaling chemicals provides the safest, most cost effective process to chemically remove scale, sugar, oil and other contaminants from equipment surface. So, in future there is good scope for new entrepreneur. Few Indian Major Players are as under: Chembond Ashland Water Technologies Ltd. Ciba India Ltd. N L C Nalco India Ltd.
