Production of Bioplastic Film using Biodegradable Resin, PLA (Polylactic Acid)

Production of Bioplastic Film using Biodegradable Resin, PLA (Polylactic Acid). Biodegradable Film Manufacturing Business - Sustainable Alternative to Plastics Bioplastic is a biodegradable material that come from renewable sources and can be used to reduce the problem of plastic waste that is suffocating the planet and polluting the environment. These are 100% degradable, equally resistant and versatile, already used in agriculture, textile industry, medicine and, over all, in the container and packaging market, and biopolymers are already becoming popular in cities throughout Europe and the United States for ecological reasons: they are known as PHA. Advantages of Bioplastics: • They reduce carbon footprint • They providing energy savings in production • They do not involve the consumption of non-renewable raw materials • Their production reduces non-biodegradable waste that contaminates the environment • They do not contain additives that are harmful to health, such as phthalates or Bisphenol A • They do not change the flavor or scent of the food contained Growth of Bioplastics The predicted growth in the production of bioplastics is being driven by a number of factors, including: • The fluctuating cost of petroleum and the drive for independence from fossil fuels • increasing availability of bioplastics and decreasing cost as greater volumes are produced • Environmental and social impacts of petrochemical-based plastics including carbon footprint, sustainability, pollution involved in end-of-life disposal and health concerns such as leaching of chemicals from plastic packaging into food products • Branding and product differentiation as manufacturers perceive a marketing advantage • Waste minimization regulations • The fact that plastic products are useful and we’ve become used to using them. Biodegradable Plastic Film are known for being biodegradable and eco-friendly. PLA and PLA blends generally come in the form of granulates with various properties, and are used in the plastic processing industry for the production of films, fibers, plastic containers, cups and bottles. PLA is also the most common type of plastic filament used for home fused deposition modeling. Market Outlook With increasing concerns over the use of plastics, sustainable alternatives to plastics are increasingly in demand. Biopolymers in general and bioplastics in particular, present one such sustainable alternative. The global biodegradable plastics market is expected to reach ~16.8 billion by 2022 with CAGR ~8.4% between 2016-2022. Rising consumer awareness about global warming and government legislation such as banned on plastic bags will increase the demand for biodegradable plastics across the globe. Plastics that decompose to carbon dioxide and water under the actions of microorganisms is known as biodegradable plastics. Biodegradable plastics are produced by fermentation of sugar or canola oil to produce polylactic acid (PLA) or polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) which in turn converted into biodegradable plastics. A sustainable alternative to traditional plastics, bioplastics are plastics that are fully or partially biobased, and/or biodegradable or compostable. In other words, they are plastics that are made from renewable resources such as corn, tapioca, potatoes, sugar and algae and breaks down faster than traditional plastics, which are typically made from petroleum, and other fossil resources such as natural gas. Bioplastics have numerous applications like packaging, bottles, utensils, furniture etc. Globally, the production capacity of bioplastics is highest in Asia followed by South America and Europe. As Asia and South America are closer to where feedstock is grown, the production capacity of bioplastics is higher in these regions. Growing sensitivity to climate change and increasing prices of oil have together contributed to rise in demand of bioplastics products. New high performance bioplastics is being introduced in the market that can withstand higher temperatures. Many companies are also planning to substitute feedstock with some other biobased material or nonfood alternative feedstock from biomass, so as to reduce their dependency on feedstock availability. Polylactic acid-based biodegradable plastics dominate the biodegradable plastics market. This is due to large scale application in packaging industry owing to superior properties such as high mechanical strength and low toxicity. Polylactic acid is fermented by action of wheat starch and corn starch which provide a good appearance to various products across the end user industries. Starch based biodegradable plastics are expected to overtake polylactic acid based biodegradable plastics over the forecasted period owing to high tensile strength and impact resistance in packaging and consumer goods. Bio based biodegradable plastics find their application in a variety of sectors, including fibres, medical, packaging, and agriculture. The demand for bio based biodegradable plastics is massive in the packaging sector, and it is anticipated that status quo will be maintained in the next five years as well. Other prominent sectors which will create robust demand for bio based biodegradable market include agriculture and medical. The adoption of bioplastics in rigid packaging was the highest in 2017 and is expected to grow at the same pace throughout 2024. For instance, the commercialization of co-extruded double or multiple layer film products has gained momentum in the recent years. It is also finds applications in various end-use industries such as flexible packaging, textile, agriculture, and horticulture, consumer goods, automotive, electronics, building and construction, and others. Biodegradable Packaging The biodegradable packaging market is expected to witness the fastest growth than that compared to the plastics packaging market. The biodegradable packaging market is a relatively new market however; it is expected to capture the existing market share of the non-biodegradable plastic packaging market. The food packaging and beverage packaging market is expected to play a crucial role in driving the overall global biodegradable packaging market. However, lack of government support especially in the developed countries is expected to curb the growth of the market. The presence of huge price difference between the biodegradable packaging and other conventional packaging is further expected to hamper the growth of the market. Bicycle Tyre & Tubes Production from Natural Rubber

Bicycle Tyre & Tubes Production from Natural Rubber. How to Start a Tire and Tubes Manufacturing Business Tyres are one of the most important components of a bicycle build. Bicycle tires perform an important function of eliminating the shock transferred through the front and rear wheels as they travel on uneven and rough surfaces; effectively gaining traction on the road so that the bicycle can travel properly and doesn’t slip. It is also used for hand cycles and specially designed wheelchairs for racing purposes. The complete tire system provides ideal suspension, produces the longitudinal force essential for propulsion and braking, and creates the lateral force required for turning and balancing. A bicycle tire is a tire that fits on the wheel of a bicycle, unicycle, tricycle, quadracycle, bicycle trailer, or trailer bike. They may also be used on wheelchairs and handcycles, especially for racing. Bicycle tires provide an important source of suspension, generate the lateral forces necessary for balancing and turning, and generate the longitudinal forces necessary for propulsion and braking. They are the second largest source, after air drag, of power consumption on a level road. The modern detachable pneumatic bicycle tire contributed to the popularity and eventual dominance of the safety bicycle. There are various grips offered in the market, which enhance traction between the wheels and the road and increase performance at high speeds and on uneven and rough terrains. The recent removable pneumatic bicycle tire contributed to the acceptance and enhanced safety operation of bicycle. Over the years, with bicycles becoming more advanced and efficient, advanced bicycle tires have been developed to improve riding performance and capability. Over the several years manufacturers were keen on reducing the bicycle’s body weight and enhancing strength, so it may travel at a desirable speeds. Tube Bicycle tubes are the backbone of the bicycle industries. Few numbers of companies in organized sector are engaged in the quality grade cycles tyres and tubes and few unorganized sector also engaged to manufacturing bicycle tyre and tubes. An inner tube is basically a doughnut-shaped balloon, with a valve for inflation. The only requirement for an inner tube is that it should not leak. Being rubber, they have no rigid structure. If an inner tube is inflated outside of a tyre, it will expand to 2 or 3 times its nominal size, if it doesn't explode first. Without being surrounded by a tyre, an inner tube can't withstand any significant air pressure. Market Outlook The bicycle tires market possesses a lot of potential for growth in the research and development division. Also, the market for bicycle tires has increased due to development in the overall bicycle market, as consumers are more attracted towards safety and riding comfort. In a bicycle, tires are the most important component and the replacement rate of the tires is high, owing to the high rate of friction between the tire and road. The aftermarket for replacement and services is projected to remain healthy over the forecast period as consumers will try to keep their bikes up to the mark. Moreover, in developed nations, the ability to ride at faster speeds with comfort is estimated to drive growth of the bicycle tires market in the near future. Furthermore, growth in racing and adventure sports, such as dirt biking and off-road riding will fuel growth of the overall bicycle tires market in the coming future. Events, such as the Tour de France, Olympics and other bicycle professional races will propel growth in the bicycle tires market and force manufacturers to come up with new product and goods, which are more capable for ideal riding. The emergence of eco-friendly bicycle tires is one of the major trends being witnessed in the global bicycle tires market 2019-2023. The products used in manufacturing rubber compounds are polluting the environment. The increasing air pollution is pushing manufacturers to reduce the emission from the manufacturing process. Thus, such environmental concerns have paved the way for innovation in terms of eco-friendly tires that are manufactured using pure rubber compounds and low-aromatic oils. Low-aromatic oils have low levels of harmful compounds, which makes them highly durable and non-carcinogenic. The bicycle tires market has been majorly driven by increasing users of bicycles in the recent years. Various factors such as environmental concerns, health and fitness, among others have compelled pedestrians to make use of bicycles for their regular commute. Thereby, the market has witnessed an increasing demand for new bicycles for various applications such as regular on-road use, off-road biking and sports. As a result, the bicycle tire market has been witnessing an increased demand for various types of on-road and off-road tires. Moreover, with ongoing product innovation in the tubeless and airless tires segments, the market is expected to witness significant growth during the forecast period. The Growing popularity of premium bicycles around the world is attributable to the increasing acceptance of premium bicycle that provide better riding and safety features. These bicycles are built using advanced technologies and modern designs by incorporating high- end materials to offer comfort and durability. The major reason for the growth of premium bicycle is increasing average disposable income and increasing dual household income. The increasing demand for premium bicycles is increasing the demand for the high- quality components and uniqueness in the bicycle tire. Such factors increase the revenue of the bicycle tire manufactures. Therefore, the growing demand for premium bicycles is expected to drive the demand for the market. Indian Tyre Industry The Indian Tyre industry is expected to show a healthy growth rate of 9-10% over the next five years. The domestic tyre industry is expected to post volumes growth of 7-8 per cent to 1,805 lakh tyres during FY2018. Indian tyre industry has been reporting good growth figures over the past few years, spurred by the growing passenger vehicle and two-wheeler market. It has emerged as one of the most competitive markets in the world and with the emergence of new technology, ultra-modern production facilities and availability of raw materials, the sector is poised to grow further. Tyre Inner Tubes Tyre inner tubes are the internal components of the primary tyre which are designed to sustain air pressure. Majority of the tyres which are used in motorcycles, bicycle and large vehicles such as tractors, heavy trucks, cars, and buses are designed for their application with inner tubes. These are made from impermeable materials such as synthetic, elastic, soft rubber for the purpose of avoiding air leakge and are torus shaped in nature. In addition, inner tubes which are larger in size possess the ability to be re used for other applications such as rafting and swimming. These tubes are large inflatable toruses which are manufactured for these applications while also offering a choice of decks, handles, fabric covering, colors and other various accessories, eliminating the protruding valve stem. The global inner tube industry is dependent on raw materials such as rubber suppliers as well as the buyers which mainly include automotive manufacturers. More than half of the global rubber production goes into the manufacturing of automotive tyres. In addition, the inner tube and tyre industry serve as the largest application segment in the overall rubber industry. Bicycle Rim

A bicycle wheel is a wheel, most commonly a wire wheel, designed for a bicycle. A pair is often called a wheel set, especially in the context of ready built "off the shelf" performance-oriented wheels. Bicycle wheels are typically designed to fit into the frame and fork via dropouts, and hold bicycle tires. The first bicycle wheels followed the traditions of carriage building: a wooden hub, a fixed steel axle (the bearings were located in the fork ends), wooden spokes and a shrink fitted iron tire. A typical modern wheel has a metal hub, wire tension spokes and a metal or carbon fiber rim which holds a pneumatic rubber tire. The rim is the "outer edge of a wheel, holding the tire". It makes up the outer circular design of the wheel on which the inside edge of the tire is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles. For example, on a bicycle wheel the rim is a large hoop attached to the outer ends of the spokes of the wheel that holds the tire and tube. In cross-section, the rim is deep in the center and shallow at the outer edges, thus forming a "U" shape that supports for the bead of the tire casing. The regional demand dynamics of bicycle rims is directly correlated with the overall production and fleet of the bicycles. China is projected to dominate in terms of sales and is estimated to remain dominant in terms of demand for bicycle rims owing to increasing sales of bicycles. North America is expected to grow at significant CAGR during the forecast period in the bicycle rim market owing to increasing government regulations to support green transportation in the region.
