Cellular Telephone

Friday, March 20, 2015

Cellular telephone, sometimes called mobile telephone, is a type of short-wave analog or digital telecommunication in which a subscriber has a wireless connection from a mobile phone to a relatively nearby transmitter. The transmitter's span of coverage is called a cell. As the cellular telephone user moves from one cell or area of coverage to another, the telephone is effectively passed on to the local cell transmitted. Mobile phone users are rapidly switching over to smart phones as devices become more affordable and 3G and 4G networks advance. Smartphone users currently account for a majority of mobile phone users in 10 of the 22 countries included in our forecast.

The Indian mobile industry is the fastest growing in the world and India continues to add more mobile connections every month than any other country in the world. The telecom boom in the country provides great opportunity to handset manufacturers and the hottest segment for these manufacturers is the entry level segment. The Indian mobile phone market is estimated to surpass Japan's by 2014 end, reaching the $10 billion mark. The broadband services user-base in India is expected to grow to 250 million connections by 2017. It also expects to see increased mobile broadband penetration in India, with over 250 million on either 3G /4G by 2017.
